Somewhere in America, there are people who still think that Jesse Ventura, who was actually elected by the people of Minnesota to act as their governor once, has important contributions to make to The National Discourse. Then again, somewhere in America, there are also people who write
Dok, Thank you for the link to the Roger Angells essay. It was very poignant. Also Wall of Voodoo shout out. As for Jesse Ventura: Another voice that makes no sense and no difference.
Sure, Roger Angell's a good writer. But was he ever governor of Minnesota? Or a Navy SEAL*? ___________________ *actually an underwater demo guy. At the time everybody, possibly including JV, was saying he'd been a SEAL in Vietnam, both untrue.
I like Jesse, he's quite entertaining- blunt, outspoken, no B.S. I especially like that he made Sean Hannity his bitch over waterboarding. He can call it his "999" plan.
Gov. Walker vs. Former Gov. Ventura. Debate or WWF for the Upper Midwest belt would be entertaining.
