Under god was added in the fifties (it was a project of the DAR, at about the time they were screwing with Marian Anderson, so I say it was a pretty cynical exercise to begin with). But even so, there are faiths - the Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones who sued - who consider pledging to anything other than God, including a flag or a nation under God, idolatry.

I'm not a big fan of the sportsballs, but I do follow them so I can say something remotely intelligent about the Broncos/Rockies/Avalance/Rapids/and others (Denver has a professional sportsball teams every sport with a professional team (except Jai Ali or whatever that thing that's big in Florida is) in a social setting

I'm seeing little to no discussion of the elephant in the room here: the race of the perpetrator. Why are so many non-Hispanic white men (alleged) child-rapist murderers?
