"Sir [always Sir], you saved two million lives in the last three years”

Made it up! (of course). I read somewhere Trump's been told by his staff saying he'll be a dictator (even for one day) is not a good move, so he was trying to be kinder and gentler in his "town crap fest." I would not know, because I did not watch.

“Hillary is a beautiful woman, he likes Hillary, some say she’s a little on the young side. But go with your heart, always with your heart. But go with your mind also. Heart, and mind. Mind your heart, and your heart will mend. Mend the pain you and we all of us feel about all the beautiful babbies the radicals kill. Baby hunters, I call them. They hunt babbies. They literally crave baby blood, and go into withdrawals without it. It’s so sad. It’s worse than the fentanyl. Which I’m going to outlaw along with the andrenochromes. So sad.”

“But, Sir, ARE you the most moderate president in history on pro-life?”

“Yes, of course you might say that.”

I've come to hard seeing images if that guy and even more so hate hearing him speak. And I guess reporters do to, since they often summarize what they think he said rather than quote one of his rambling word-salads. But I think it would help a lot of reporters did quote Trump at length just so people can see if plain text what an incoherent ignoramus he has become.

Expand full comment

No, they clean up his word salads because they want to try to get his idea across, and in the process they make him look a lot less idiotic. I agree, if they just published verbatim transcripts of what he said, I think there would be a lot less confusion as to which guy running for POTUS is the senile one.

How many abortions do you think Trump has pressured people into having?

Closer to 10 than zero.

WTAF does this even mean?

“even after you’ve set the baby aside and you have a conversation with the mother. And if the conversation, can you imagine? But these are the radicals.”

To deconstruct: “even after you’ve set the [nonviable] baby aside and you have a conversation with the mother [about how long to continue palliative care] . And if the conversation says to stop care now] , can you imagine [just letting the nonviable baby die]? But these are [not] the radicals.”

You scare me. Or you must have a secret decoder ring for Trump.

I've had it explained to me before.

"even after you’ve set the baby aside and you have a conversation with the mother."

So, do they have a special little table for that, or a bakery rack where they set the baby aside to cool, or...?

Shoot I just made a similar post. Yeah it’s incomprehensible. As usual.

“ first of all, you have to go with your heart, OK? You have to go with your heart first. Go with your heart, your mind, go with it. But you do also have to put in there a little bit, you have to win elections.”

Ah, so profound. Like the inside of a Hallmark card.

Da fuck? I know it's not the most important point but that came out of fucking nowhere (unless I've missed it in the past).

That got me too. Oh god. Poor Hillary.

That'll make things shrivel regardless of gender or sex.

yeah what exactly is that all about???

At what point after 2016 did he decide to get religion into his scam skillset? As he'd used every other imaginable type of con and lie in the years up to it. When did he finally get the idea that religion was a new world full of people who will believe anything?

Expand full comment

Yup, as if I need more convincing to remain an atheist. The evangelicals adore…Trump? The obvious narcissistic, hedonistic heathen, versus the devoted catholic, Joe Biden. One, a devoted man of faith who lives with dignity and integrity, versus a vile misogynist and opportunist who uses religion as a prop. So holy. So righteous. Such BS.

Expand full comment

Maybe the narcissism put him off for a long time. There is that core message that you have to accept someone being bigger and better than you.

And you do have to publicly say that out loud.

It's all that exposure to the Prosperity Assholes. Remember that photo op with them laying hands on him? Obviously some of the religious con stink rubbed off on him as well.

I’d love to see a brave, Nobel Prize deserving reporter stick a mic to the Orange One and ask him whether he supports a national ban on abortion. If he says no, he probably will lose a lot of his base. If yes, He Loses Voters Big Time. And that would be pretty cool.

“Yes and no. It’s a terrible thing! Terrible! Doctors flinging newborn babies right out the window! They put an open dumpster under the maternity floor! But, sometimes chicks will lie to you. ‘I’m on the pill!’ They should get the death penalty for that!”

And then King Adderal shit his britches.

I don't believe for a single second that this awful Rebecca and other forced birthers are going to stay home over this. For one, 99% of these people are on board with all the other hateful conservative bullshit and will always vote for Republicans no matter what. Two, they know that no matter what Trump says on the campaign trail, he'll be a rubber stamp for whatever the most extreme members of the GOP want once he's in office.
