The Democratic party needs to buy a clue and go after rural voters with some targeted messaging, something like "A future for farmers" where they outline the hazards GOP governance poses to their way of life. One party is actively blocking efforts to combat climate change, change that isn't way off in the future, it's here already. We need to start talking about aridification and crop failures, training our fire on the mega corps and petro despots that don't care about the future of humanity, they only care about $$$ and power. Be frank about it, "The GOP has spent years convincing you to vote for them over culture war issues while they've paved the way for catastrophic weather chaos and the destruction of the environment we all rely on for our survival, and now they want to punish anybody that is trying to secure a future for farmers!"
