So NOW Republicans appeal to 'science,' huh? Kansas state Rep. Steve Alford (R - Old Whitepeople) is not a fan of the devil weed Marihuana, and at a legislative meet-n-greet Saturday in Garden City, he offered some historical context and scientific reasoning to explain why he
Sorry, Massachusetts enacted a statute making it illegal to sell or possess cannabis or other "hypnotic" drugs such as opium without a prescription on April 29th, 1911; California (because “Hindoos”!), Maine, Indiana and Wyoming followed suit in 1913.
Cannabis science continues to progress, just as the underground grow movement of the past 50 years has. Because of the Schedule 1 status of cannabis, significant limits exist on research. This is fully a medical crime. In spite of it, we will see continuing advances in grow science, phenotyping of strains, and research and understanding of the medical applications of the range of cannabinoids found in cannabis. One need only search PubMed to see the already existing validated research as it pertains to a wide variety of disease treatment. When eventually prohibition is lifted, people will look back in disgust and disbelieve at the anti-science agenda perpetrated by politicians who use cannabis as a self-serving political exploit.
But the users are staunch Republican voters. If you kill them off, you can still get the only office in the country voted on by the electoral college, but all those congressmen and Senators are actually determined by raw vote numbers. Even Rebekah can't raise those voters from the dead.Oh, wait, that was before computerized voting...
So, if marijuana causes white women to "misbehave," maybe it's actually WHITE PEOPLE who can't handle the effects, due to, you know, characteristics and genetics.
Tsk tsk...you know we only accept PC terms here in this commune, comrade. The proper term is Genetically Compromised Appalachian Person (GCAP). The term "hillbilly" may be used only to describe a sexually viable male member of Capra Aegagrus. Please make a note of it.

Thank you, sir. I stand corrected.
Slinkies: WWII era instrument spring. Platypus: Beats me.
I thought if you were PARTIALLY smoking marijuana you were doing it wrong.
Bad assumption.

Alford's worried that more marijuana smokers means less snacks for him.
