Ooooh! Seems it's time for a sternly-worded letter.

Why not just tie retaining Johnson to whatever else the Dems want? Keep this tart turning tricks till he can't anymore.

Because Mike Johnson can't be trusted. Jaime Raskin has it right, each decision has to be made on the necessity at that moment. Johnson basically just used up his get out of jail free card.

Ta, Evan. I find Mike Johnson guilty of being an obscenity. All these Dominionist Seven Mountains Xtian Fascists should found a new country somewhere else, like the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. They have no place in a democratic republic.

as always... why is no one concerned that the Speaker of the House has his phone and computers bugged by a third party app that can monitor everything? who is on the other end monitoring this? who has access to this data? is this not a massive serious breach of national security?

and if we are asking questions about super suspicious things... how does Mike get paid if he doesn't have a bank account? i doubt he is getting it in cash. so what is happening there?

I swear. Not a gotdamn one of these elected MAGAt’s understands how government works. Scratch my back I’ll scratch yours philosophy isn’t a one and done thing.

Also they have a remarkable ability to not see that one action causes another. Therefore they are stoopit and I’d like my elected officials to have higher IQ’s, possess critical thinking and be able to not just read but to comprehend the text.

But hey GOP. You got a whole lotta stupid going on.

Good. Toss the seditious sack of shit on the trash heap where he belongs. I saw somewhere that part of the plan to steal the election involves him just not swearing in a bunch of Dem Reps if the Dems take the House. He’s the kind of shitstain that would try some shit like that.

Me, I prefer to think of this as a hardball negotiation. Dems are telling Johnson that if he wants future "legislation in return for saving his ass" deals, the price just went up. In addition to defeating any motions to vacate, Johnson also has to distance himself from Trump. Fair, since he had already killed legislation on Trump's orders, so why would we even talk deals with Johnson if Trump will just veto them?

The Speaker's outrageously inappropriate actions at Trump's NY Trial effectively ended his political usefulness.

Remember when Richard Nixon said Charles Manson was guilty during Manson's trial, and the L.A. Times ran a front page with the headline, "Nixon Says Manson Guilty," and Manson grabbed the paper from his attorney and flashed it at the jury hoping for a mistrial?

Pepperidge Farms remembers.

Talk all you want about your worship of God, Mike. You're about to find out that once you tie yourself to Trump, not even God can get the stink off you.

Can a Democrat introduce a "motion to vacate" - and would enough Republicans vote for it, to combine with Democrats to pass it?

My exact thought. Downside: We still end up with a Repub Speaker.

After how many votes though? 15 is the record to date. Make the pie higher!!!!

Just when you thought My Johnson would stand up and show firm leadership, he turns out to be limp and flacid.

The fact that they all went out of their way, (it was written in the script trump wrote for them), to say that they were there because trump was a "friend," makes me wonder if they bought those airline tickets with their own money. Random trips to visit friends isn't usually included on the taxpayer's bill. We'll have to check the next SOD (Statement of Disbursements released quarterly).
