There's this great piece by The Young Turks about the intentional radicalization of the UFC by Dana White, so this tarzan goof is obviously in it. The most astounding thing to me is that their announcer (not Rogan) started getting death threats because "fans" didn't like the judges' decision in one of the fights...?! Just another grotesque, cynical macho death cult to rake in the bucks.
I have my own issues with Trudeau, but it’s been interesting watching right-wing troglodytes consistently underestimate him since he went into politics. And I just laugh my ass off at the MAGAts pretending he’s some kind of iron-fisted dictator. IMO Trudeau would be more effective if he occasionally channeled some of his old man’s legendary arrogance, but that’s a whole other discussion.
Nothing about Matthew Perry suprises me. Like with Roseanne, I just ended up with this weird vibe about them that turned me off the shows that they starred in. It could have been that my partner was emotionally ill a lot and I was hypervigilant about cues.
The stupid money that they throw at TV shows is well and truly to blame for all of this. And it's not even to bring us quality entertainment, it's to pad out the bits between the ads that keep us on the same TV station. Ugghhhh.....
