I seriously doubt that even the clown posse that is the Republican majority in the House will be able to pass any articles of impeachment against Biden. Not one single Democrat will vote for it and there will surely be Republican defectors.

These idiots are on a suicide mission which I would normally applaud. But there is too much real work that has to get done. Have these yahoos learned nothing from Ohio yesterday? Apparently not? Their positions are deeply unpopular. And James Comer needs to be throat-punched. 10/10

“Once the barn doors are open, so to speak, the horses are out…You’re not gonna get them back in the barn.”

Like ever, banished forever? I’m just a city person but that doesn’t sound right to me, I don’t think you know how to horse.

They won’t be able to impeach. Not even in the House they control. You at least need some slight amount of evidence to get even a unanimous GOP vote. Biden built his reputation on being decent, and able to work with republicans. There will be several who won’t go along with a farce just for political revenge. Their strategy won’t even be impeachment, but rather months and months of impeachment hearings, each more pointless and useless than the last.

This will blow up badly for the gop. Transparently retaliatory impeachments aren’t a good use of time or government resources, and will only emphasize how warranted Trump’s double trouble was by comparison. This could be the incentive for an even stronger blue wave in 24 when these hearings prove embarrassing for the gop. All they have is, Joe knew Hunter was troubled, and that Hunter was earning money simply by being a Biden and selling his proximity to Joe. Did Joe ever promise any favoritism or political action in exchange for Hunter’s success? There is no evidence of that at all, thus far. Joe Biden isn’t corrupt and he isn’t a fool. He wasn’t going to undermine Hunter trying to earn money off the family name, but he wasn’t going to involve himself either. This isn’t going anywhere and nothing the GOP have even alleged is an impeachable offense.

The really stupid part, if the emailgate non story the Republicans are trying to replicate had led to a finding of wrongdoing ahead of the general election, the investigation would have ended and the vast majority of the press would probably have never mentioned it again. So how do they think THIS is going to end?

wow

Accusations alone warrant impeachment hearings?

So you can literally make something up, find no proof, and declare that as enough reason to proceed?

I am not surprised CNN is doing the "zomg only the 4th president ever!" bullshit either, Fox lite as they have become.

Hunter Biden is a screwup who, as someone said, didn't peddle influence with his dad the VP to gain board seats and money - he peddled the ILLUSION of influence and the Burisma board bought it, hoping it had substance. I believe that even if Joe Biden was corrupt, he wouldn't be stupid enough to touch that situation with gloves and a hazmat mask, being a seasoned politician. His name's Biden, not Trump.

We only need five republicans from Biden districts to decide that they’re not going to fall on their swords for Trump and Mad Marge to put an end to this farce.

Democrats need to make it clear that any republicans from swing districts will get a shit ton of money poured into their opponent’s campaign if they vote for impeachment.

And also Qbert, because we almost took her down last time .

> CNN concedes that Republicans have “yet to corroborate” their “provocative allegation” that Biden > was involved in a pay-to-play scheme with his son, Hunter, while he was vice president

AHAHAAHAHAHAHA!! "Yet to corroborate"! HAHAHAHAHA!!! They haven't supported anything they've said with a smidgen of evidence since, I dunno, Bill Clinton?

Living up to the legacy of the name there, Kevin. Although the OG McCarthy seems to have been more successful in his pathetic attempt to remain relevant.

No Republican ever went politically broke betting on a bothsideist clickbait press.

I wouldn't snicker at the danger with the independents who decide elections and always feel virtuous when declaring poxes on both houses. They may not go for Trump but they may also not go for Biden, and in reddish/purplish states that absence can be enough to toss to Trump as the default.

So as a response to impeaching their clown they will generate a clown impeachment.

Yes, please let them try to peach-tree dish the president. Let them do that after failing to pass a budget or any of the other things they are theoretically supposed to be doing. I am looking forward to watching Qevin hand the gavel to Hakeem Jeffries in 2025.

When Democrats impeached Trump for the Ukraine extortion effort, they had real evidence and real witnesses to the high crime. There wasn't any confusion about it. How can you impeach somebody for a crime that you have no evidence for. This will just be a parade of bought and paid for "witnesses" and "whistleblowers." Dan Goldman will shred each and every one of them. They're just going to embarrass themselves. Biden isn't worried because he hasn't done anything wrong.
