"GOP Blasts Dems for Insufficient Resistance to GOP"

Well, I sorta get it. If you think of it as an "office" rather than a "person," then the President himself is actually first in line to that job. Then the VP, then the Speaker.

ABC Political Director Rick Klein tweeted, "I do wonder how long Democrats are willing to all stick around and keep the magic number where it is. Most are enjoying this. But many have friends and family in town and would like to resume their lives at some point."

This is about as stupid as political commentary gets.

If there are any Democratic Congress People who are thinking this, they shouldn't be in Congress.

First, watching your opponent constantly slam their head against a wall is as good as politics gets.

Second, if you are bored now, how do you think you will feel after McCarthy is speaker, you have no say in anything as a Democrat, and you are sitting on your fifth committee hearing into Hunter Biden?

“all while wanting to stay on [Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries'] good side”

Sorry but the Republicans are the craven opportunists here. Democrats are just doing their jobs because they *gasp* care about doing the right thing.

He probably is attracted to her. That’s where half of their animus towards her comes from. Knowing she would never give them the time of day

Sure, it's all pedophiles and groomers until someone loses an eye.

Just another horserace, and the Dems aren't doing their part to advance the narrative.

Look what you made them do!

The Speaker also decides which bills advance to a vote in the House.

Trump endorsed Qevin in ALL CAPS. All those recalcitrant R's will stand up and fly straight now.

Here in Ohio, the temp's 60F and sunny. For the period right after Christmas, it's terrifying. The trees are budding.

Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell lived in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Ohio Secretary of State's Office is in Columbus, Ohio. Blackwell never moved to Columbus, the first Secretary of State not to do that. He kept a separate office in Cincinnati, did all his business by phone, email, and video conference, and made employees of the office come to Cincinnati when face-to-face meetings were necessary.

The only time he came to Columbus was for photo opportunities, and, when he did that, he parked in front of the building at a meter and didn't feed the meter because the office would take care of any parking tickets.

Speaker Donald Trump would require every member of the House to have a Truth Social account and do his job from Mar-a-Lago one Truth at a time.

Kind of like how we couldn't have a Year 0.
