NEW: Matt Schlapp's accuser got $480K to drop his sexual battery lawsuit, from CPAC's insurance, sources say. The accuser also took issue with a statement CPAC released in his name, as well as Schlapp's posts celebrating the resolution. Me @thedailybeast

Is it to late to add "groper, groper, you're the groper?"

Ta, Evan. So, who bought him off? It would be irresponsible not to speculate.

He said “Neither the Schlapps nor the ACU paid me anything to dismiss my claims against them.”......he didn't say nobody paid him.......

There are two ways to get a person to recant -- money or threats. As this accuser works in politics it would be easy to remind him that if he continues his lawsuit he will never get a job in politics again.

It’s cute the way Matt and Mercedes and this goober who sued them think this is all going to go away. The whispers will continue and both of them will go to bed tonight bitter towards the other, but still riding that conservative gravy train.

As for Carlton Huffman he’s either a liars who made up a story or he’s a victim who let a perpetrator get off (no pun intended) on assaulting him. Conservative parents, don’t let your sons work around any of these people.

In spite of having a Big Disappoint, I will always be grateful for Mr. Huffman for giving us “grabbed my junk and pummeled it at length" reasons. I hope it was worth his time, and I regret he didn't want to see Schlapp burn as much as the rest of us.

Therein lies the problem, during cross examination the defense lawyer would undoubtedly request a medical examination of the offended penis and when it was deemed only "average" he would call into question the statement that it was "pummeled at LENGTH" and infer that Carlton was lying.

Phew! So glad THAT was all cleared up.

All of which makes me think that this Huffman weenie is such a pitiful mope that Schlappy read him as vulnerable, as predators do, and the fool remains just as pathetic as he was before this, having learned nothing. I just hope he soaked them good when he sold his ass and swallowed his words so sweetly.

He very clearly states that two entities didn't pay him. I notice he did NOT say he didn't get paid.

This is why fascists hate the arts and arts education. It teaches you to notice stuff like that.

Good call!

I originally misread his statement as: “We also learned that the left is waging a relentless war against those of us who still hold fast to the principles of America’s fondling”. OR DID I???

That statement reads like a hostage video.

Missionary style. With the lights out. Picture of Jesus turned to the wall.

Matt can get all the consensual d he so desperately craves. No judgement here. Just be honest, Matt! Jebus hates liars!

I wonder how many of his family members were threatened.

Neither the Schlapps nor the ACU paid me any money. Their attorney paid me. After they paid the attorney.

And that’s the thing! Just say they settled the suit and made it go away. I just can’t with these people!

That was kind of specific. Somebody paid him just not from their checking account.

Man, my bullshit detector is making a hell of a racket though. Wonder what that's about.

I see Schlapp also knows how to keep the right wing media human centipede fed. This is going to make its way to some Republican backbenchers for sure.

Oh, just one more thing...a small thing...were the text messages we saw misunderstood? Like the one about Schlapp apologizing? Asking for a friend.

They didn't pay him off, huh? Did they also just happen to "lose" a big duffel bag of cash that day too?
