I am sad to hear Veritas was in Mamaroneck, at one time a pleasant working class town with frontage on Long Island Sound..
My father lived in Mamaroneck from 1956 to 1967, I spent many happy days exploring the harbor in a smalll boat, looking at all the cool stuff in the ship chandler's and messing around in the boat yard by Orienta YC, perhaps the least elaborate YC anywhere.. Fiddler crabs, bergalies, shooting rats off the docks at night.. The diner at the top of the hill was wonderful and fascinating. Benny's down the road made great burgers. The outer harbor had tautog , flounder and occasionally porgies.. Also eels and stripers but I didn't fish for them.
You only need to buy one very expensive bottle of tequila. After you finish that, all the other bottles of tequila will taste just fine. This is how we saved money in my college days; after the first six pack, you cold drink Schlitz all night and not mind the taste.
Vulture wrote about the same WaPo story yesterday, and this made me laugh so hard in my cubicle that two different co-workers asked me if I was okay (I was trying not to laugh and probably sounded like I was stroking out):

Two things, Gary. This past story title, “Dildo Enthusiast James O'Keefe Facing Criminal Investigations, Is Dildo” is my favorite since (Evan’s?) Vegan Yodeling Baby Butthole stories a few years back. Second, can we also take a moment to enjoy a second helping of joy observing how much wingnut donated money was grifted and wasted (as usual) when those poor people thought they were paying to expose all the corruption? Lol. They never learn. Try harder to be a good person, instead of paying bad people money to prove everyone is worse than you.
The entire rightwing movement is just one big grift machine, from the orange cult leader on down to influencers like Candace Owens and Ben Shapiro. It’s all about separating old people from their social security checks. That’s why they don’t even bother with policy ideas any more. Eternal fundraising the goal in and of itself. O’Keefe was just dumb enough to hollow out his own organization. That’s why he’s out.
I got up every day, went to work, put in my eight hours, came home. Made enough to put a roof over my head and food on the table. This sounds like way too much effort just to live a glamorous lifestyle.
He’s been humbled and taken down several million pegs. He was a blowhard to the end, thinking he could gaslight his way out of accountability. Now, several high-powered lawyers and their firms have huge judgments against him and his dumb show. They definitely aren’t going away. He will sell Info Wars for whatever value it has, along with his boner pills and other scammy crap. He made fun of parents whose kids were shot to death and called them liars. He deserves to lose his fortune and donate it to his victims.
I wonder if that was in the job description when they applied?

Wayne La Pierre used the NRA like a personal piggy bank and they re-elected him to the job. This'd guy isn't coming back because he spent money like a drunk asshole and was a total asshole to everyone around him. Still, no charges for embezzlement and I'm betting that this will happen too. God I hate these grifters.
Forget statesmanship; never mind integrity. Is there anyone on the Right at all who understands personal consequences on a level somewhere above the cognition of a small, burrowing rodent?
One would also require him to bathe in pure alcohol for disinfection purposes before getting close to a lady. But that could be any moderate shelf vodka. And even then I would require some kind of long pole and hazmat suit.
What realy makes me laugh, aside from his extremely misplaced vanity, is that he probably thinks it's what successful people do - waste loads of cash on luxuries and trifles.
