I had to look up whwt filsm he has directed. Aside from ''Grand Theft Auto'' and ''A Beautiful ZMind'' I acnnot see any other film he's directed that I would ever see, So, business as mostly usual...
"According to a new poll, 53 percent of Americans believe Trump intentionally committed crimes. Only 20 percent actually believe Trump did nothing wrong. The rest are somewhere in between."
Which is why Republicans are trying so damned hard to convince the in-betweeners that Trump didn't really commit any crimes worthy of prosecution, based on amy fucking rationalization at all that they can make stick. If they can get the in-betweeners, then they have a 53-47 minority...which we all know translates to a narrow win for them through their structural advantage in electoral politics.
Middletown was not nearly as bleak as he makes it out to be, either. Especially the part of town he grew up in where most owned their homes, had good blue collar jobs, boats, summer cabins and such.
Just like Republicans going back to at least Reagan

The only downside of that is that it gives credence to Trump's lie that they were ever declassified in the first place.
I think the distinction is:
The cops go after poor people and people of color for petty crimes or even no crimes.
However, if you're a rich white scumbag committing fraud or some other "white collar crime," you're more likely to be indicted by the feds.
By the time this is done it won’t matter.
It seems like a pretty rhetorical question at this point.
I suggest that the FBI has changed since our time (I am 62) when Old Petticoats ran the Bureau.
