On a darker note, I am seriously hoping and praying that another position will also open up .....soon enough that another nominee won't face serious opposition.. Won't say where I hope the vacancy will be.
If Clarence Thomas did anything illegal, we might be able to impeach him, and thus force him out, but at this point, we will probably need an overwhelming Democratic majority in the Senate to do that, either that or the offense is something extreme like murder, and the evidence is so overwhelming it can't be ignored. The latter is extremely unlikely through, so we may have no choice but to wait for him to die of natural causes or for him to feel like he's too old to keep working much longer.
I postulated a theory that were some mortality issue arise with Mr. Pubic hair in my coke can, Ginnie would pull a "weekend at Bernie's" with his corpse.
