I am not concerned about Biden's age. I hope he serves his full term, but he can do best looking at his age by making sure the next in lines are competent and carry on the fight.
I'm a bit less worried about Haley, partly because Trump is likely too pissed about her lack of "loyalty" but also because she is such an inept pol that during the campaign she would waffle so much between trying to look moderate and trying to placate Trump that she'll end up pissing off both sides. There's a reason she polls so low.
I could see him going with someone like Kari Lake or another cultist, maybe Noem or a literal AR 15.
A lot depends on overall national support--the swing states tend to all swing in the same direction, only varying based on degree of swing. So if it's a good year for Biden, he's likely to hold the bunch of them.
I'm not sure if that'll affect Biden though--Sinema could cost Dems the seat, but Dem/Moderate turnout could be higher in AZ because of that race and help Biden hold it.
Much of it has to do with how well one has taken care of themselves. I went on a six mile hike on Saturday with my in-laws. Mom in law is 78, FIL is Biden's age. MIL was leading the pack since she's the fastest walker, leaving me and my husband (both mid 40s) in the dust. FIL made it five and a half of the miles, but had to take a break near the end due to his knee acting up.
I realized that's my goal for being in my 80s. I want to be able to do a six mile hike with people half my age.
I mean, that's a way to say that "she's not a white guy so that sets the white guys off".

Agreed. She's not his type, and if he picks a woman VP, it'll have to be someone that could have been a Fox News anchor in another career.
