I am sure I am not the only one with very little opinion about my pronouns, some have my preference but I will listen to any. So it is possible for people to have preferred pronouns.
I mean, I have seen at least some “ha ha, look at this badly-written sex scene” compilations include stuff that you’d think was obviously recognizable as fetish material.
Turns out there’s no practical way to distinguish between “genuinely doesn’t understand how biology works” and “well of course that would be impossible in real life, it’s poetic license, dude.”
Peterson also got mad at CNN for reporting on Germany allowing women to swim topless in public pools just like men...Funny thing, in Ontario (the province he infects) it's legal to do that too. Has he not heard? Perhaps he's afraid that if he gets wet he'll melt, so he doesn't go near water.
At this point it's just a grift. Here's why it's a thing, but I'm not sure it actually explains it
He had a standard talk(not sure if he still does it) that basically hits the points (I am simplifying here, I think you can find youtube videos of this talk) 1) Lobsters as a species have been around for a long time (longer than trees!).2) Lobsters engage in physical confrontations to establish a dominance hierarchy. 2a) He thinks lobster brains work like people brains but that's not germane to his point, it's mostly just an excuse to take a potshot at SSRIs 3) Because the lobsters have a hierarchy, hierarchy is natural and good.4) Ipso facto, the hierarchies imposed on human society by capitalism and patriarchy are natural, good, and necessary.
Many people have pointed out how dumb that is, and he now sells lobster themed merch because it "triggers the libs"
Because it's silly, it also distracts from some of his more horrifying takes; like the one where he asserts that people under a certain IQ cannot meaningfully contribute to society and darned if he can figure out a "solution" to that problem.
Probably just need to address the child pornographers then. Beaches are family-friendly public spaces, not movie sets. If kids are there relaxing with their parents, they should be allowed to have the same freedom to be exposed as their parents who are also not exposed for sexual reasons. Naked babies are pretty standard for babies everywhere. Pedophiles take pics of them as well.
Not only does this "man" not understand social justice, he doesn't want to understand it. It's hard to be "Christian," if you recognize what you are against are the teachings of Jesus, so in his case, ignorance IS bliss.
