Going back in time and convincing Grant to change course on monetary policy would more than likely have blunted the economice problems of the early 1870's, and kept Republicans in power, without having to end Reconstruction.
Qualified Immunity was abolished in Connecticut just last month. So far, there hasn't been a "mass retirement" of law enforcement officers as was predicted by the republicans fighting this bill.
Great piece about a great man. Enough is enough. It’s time we stop protecting police when they commit crimes or violate the civil rights of any person. Black lives do matter and blacks have been persecuted by police and civilians in this country for centuries. A change is long overdue. Vote for people who will make this change.
