There's high inflation in homebuilding supplies and shit like that. It's a supply problem. Fuel costs are also rising. But run of the mill consumer goods aren't inflating at all.
The choices are more like take the vaccine and maybe feel shitty for a day or two (I actually had nothing more than fatigue and a sore arm, and iirc cases like mine are the majority; they’re just not interesting stories), or don’t take it and, given their very public-facing profession, be nearly as likely to get sick for probably days and maybe weeks or months.
I wonder how bad the side effects are on most people, though. To be sure, it knocks a lot of people on their asses; I won't deny it. But whose tale will loom larger in your mind: someone who tells you that they couldn't get out of bed for two days, or my tale of no detectable side effects? People gonna remember the horror stories.
The worst I can report is "I had to drive to the next county and it was a really boring drive!"
