The MAGA were emboldened by the fact that they were handled with "kid gloves" during the January 6 attack on the Capitol. It was a pushing and shoving match when they should have been treated to ample use of riot batons by Capitol Police. They should have been beaten to within an inch of their lives. The restraint shown to them was, in my opinion, way beyond what was due.
Haley Barbour blurbed the book I co-authored. I believe the failure of the Barbour effort to save the RNC from Trump's grift ought to signal in blazing red that the GOP no longer exists as a political party. Under Trump and MAGA it has fully transformed into a terrorist organization.
Even "autocracy" is too soft a word. Trump rules by fear of violence. Any time that fear is based on real violence, the organization must be classified as terrorist.
Quite possibly the dumbest terrorist organization in history. Also they lack the fire to be truly dangerous in a violent sense. The MAGA talk a mean fight. but like Trump, most would turn tail and run at first sign of actual real violent confrontation. They do ,however, represent a troublesome political problem. Easy enough to defeat. Just don't vote for anyone with a (R) behind the name and encourage everyone you know to do likewise. If voters have any sense at all, Trump will lose by a true landslide and so will any down ballot candidates endorsed by him.

Let's say Chelsea Clinton were appointed co-chair of the DNC, and was reputed to be tasked with also funneling the donations to aid Bill Clinton's legal expenses.
I bet the coverage would be intensely negative on every network, and for weeks. Democrats themselves would entertain every single anti-Clinton conspiracy ala 2016 and all the Clintons would be hounded out of public life.
If Chelsea Clinton was put in charge of the DNC it could only mean one thing according to every news outlet. Hillary is going to replace Biden as presidential nominee at the Democratic convention this year.
