That is what capitalism will always gravitate to. Business owners will always use money and influence to either buy up the competition or get laws that either ban competition or give them a competitive advantage. Every time.
A monopoly is the ONLY working version of capitalism. One where the existence of a business entity that has the same rights as a human being, and cannot die, can continue indefinitely as long as some sort of arbitrary target is met.
