Shy worked hard on this. See musical version here. As we mentioned this morning, poor ol' Mitch McConnell took it kind of personally that the mean old Democrats, whom he excluded from having any input into his secret plans to murder the Affordable Care Act, refused to take part in the Republican reindeer games. Not that they were invited, but the whole thing just struck him as terribly unfair. People on Twitter couldn't help but notice ol' Mitch crying like a common Boehner:
Someone please tell McCoonnell that the Democrats did tell the Republican majority what their solution to the health care insurance problem is. It even has a name: the Affordable Care Act, or "Obamacare". The Republicans need to tell us their suggestions for improving it, not to ruin it.
You're forgetting every other vote they've cast through the years to further the interests of the Republican coup. No they are not brave, no they are not principled, no they deserve no particular thanks. They could have derailed this insanity, and all the other insanities, at any point. They have never done that. That would make them, in effect, Democrats, and they are, in fact, faithful and consistent Republicans. They will probably vote for whatever hobbling of the ACA the Republicans come up with as a fallback position (like the hobbling they are already doing in the executive branch).Acknowledge their votes now, yes, but they deserve no thanks or applause. They are one shade less vile than other Republicans, but still far into vile territory.
Well obviously we take what we can get. My point was that the effusive thanks and "they're not so bad" stuff is revolting. They are not brave, they risk at most a nasty tweet from Trump - their previous and likely future votes mean lives are put at risk.
That same someone can also tell the republicans to stop lying about how the ACA was passed. There were over a year of debates and multiple GOP amendments.
I don't know why everyone's lauding these women. They voted "no" on THIS bill. I haven't heard them say a word about saving Obamacare. When they declare they will not vote for ANY bill that repeals or tries to replace it, THEN I'll applaud them.
Of course it works. It just doesn't always work the way you think it will. That's why I stay away from it most of the time. Risky business, asking the universe for something.

Considering the alternative of them voting the party line and the garbage repeal bill passing, I'll take what I can get.

I'm thinking that's it, exactly.
The howls of "F*ck McCain" became too loud to ignore.
I'm not inclined to use "cocksucker" as an insult. It's usually a friendly gesture that frequently approaches an art form.
very interesting that he supposedly was out in the lobby, on a phone call with Drumpf. I wonder what that turd said to him to piss him off.

THANK YOU.
