If you're white, it's calle a "celebration." Which might get "out of hand." Not to be confused with a "riot", which might get "violent."

One calls for cops and barricades to "keep things under control", the other calls for tear gas, armored vehicles, and rubber bullets.

It should be noted that the distinctions here are a <a href="http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tulsa_race_riot" target="_blank">relatively modern development. </a>

I have low expectations for the announcement - I mean, how zealous was the system, in the person of the prosecuting attorney, really going to be? For them that wants to watch it happen: news.blogs.nytimes.com/2014...

My fantasy is that the local residents decide to be more civilzed than the cops have been. Sadly, my hopes on that score aren't very high either. (I wonder if the cops out there will get the word in advance... it'll be interesting to see if they make any moves in advance of the public announcement.)

Not promising . . . this sounds like a justification for a "no indictment" decision, right from the first sentence.

can't say I'm surprised. Now it's time for the media to focus on every bit of controversy they can gin up and declare that the uppity blahs are rioting

Get ready for Michael Brown to be villified as a thug, a punk, and a criminal. Damn these people.

Most reporters wouldn't recognize a pointed question if you jabbed them in the ass with one.

Exactly. Grand juries indict 9 times out of 10 - they are rubber stamps for prosecutors. So in this case presumably the prosecutor signaled that he didn't want an indictment.

WHAT A SURPRISE.

Well, we can be sure that Darren Wilson is not a ham sandwich.
