Well, this has certainly been quite a week for Hitler! First, Sean Spicer got in trouble for saying he didn't use chemical weapons on his own people, somehow forgetting that gas chambers existed and German Jews were actually "his own people," and then Larry Pittman, a Republican representative from North Carolina,
I'm no expert on the Civil War. (Understatement.) But the Confederates not only rebelled and tried to shatter the Union, which is treason, the leaders tried to bring England and France into the conflict on the Confederate side, in other words induce foreign countries to invade the U.S.A. Including the country the American colonies rebelled against in the first place to create the U.S.A.! Isn't that treason also? And I believe that when you're the President of the U.S.A. you're not supposed to stand for flagrant armed treason on an immense scale. You're sort of supposed to do something about it. Maybe I'm in error.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone who probably should not be practicing medicine is practicing medicine in NC and asked Pittman to push the bill. it's the South and you have doctors with notions of bills to push that are crazy beyond, "hey, this would really line my pockets better, thank you!" for one, we have this Dr. Love guy (I don't know if that's his real last name or if he changed it, but he practices under it) and he lives here in TX. he testifies for most of the TRAP laws and was also personally responsible for making a friend of mine sterile! (he told her everything was going perfectly fine and the projectile vomiting that late in the pregnancy was normal. when she went to the hospital, she found out that the baby was dead and had been for a while. she had gone septic and had an emergency hysterectomy. fun! with a babby she wanted!) not to mention the esteemed state senators Campbell and Schwertner who are both IRL doctor people. Campbell wants us all to know that we simply can't have comprehensive sex ed because, as a doctor, she knows that abstinence is the best way to not get pragnent and telling kids there are other options will just put sexxxxxy ideas in their noggins and they have no ability to choose right from wrong if they have more than 2 options. Schwertner (the one who broke that table) can't decide whether he hates Medicaid or PP more, but he sure hates them both! and he must bitch about them within 2 hours of things or he breaks things (like that table because, fuck, seniority rules means the vice chair of the HHS Committee is a Democrat). so, yeah, I believe the part about the bill being pushed by someone who probably shouldn't be practicing medicine, but somehow still is.
And Tea Party numbskulls keep electing these people? I'm sure most Fundy Christians would love to be able to have some slaves. The far beyond conservative movement in my country sickens me.
Robyn Pennacchia,-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Is Larry Pittman sad that he can’t have a slave? Is that what this is about?-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I doubt it. As offensive as his statement is, people who wish the Confederacy had won so that blacks would still be slaves, are the kind of people who usually admire Hitler. He's probably one of the people who insists that the Confederacy wasn't about slavery but "states rights," In spite of all the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Larry Pittman Thinks that Abraham Lincoln was an evil tyrant just like Hitler? I'll be stunned if the Anti Defamation League isn't all over this moron!
Ugh, i was wondering when reversible abortions would crown again. Theres always a wingnut or 20 who swears that they personally know a doctor whos honna release the data any minute. Its like the kid in school whos uncle worked for nintendo grew up and became a state gop legislator.
He WAS a congressional aide or something. So he musta lived in Warshington his whole life.
Robyn, it that second screenshot supposed to be different from the first?
Because T̶h̶e̶ ̶P̶e̶o̶p̶l̶e̶ Fecal Matter!
Too bad. I would LOVE to read the one about "reversible abortions"!
Character actor Richard Masur is running for office?

Get pregnant again?
To be fair, in 1856, *no one* could have stopped the Civil War. But Buchanan's pettiness and vindictive nature didn't help...

I can't give my opinion without getting banhammered, so I won't. FFS.
