The enemy of my enemy is my friend a potential, temporary, tactical asset.
They're on the right side of one issue. We should be glad for their help on that issue, and cheer them on for that issue. But we should not rely, expect, or even hope for their help on any other issue.
I noticed what McConnell did too, even though he may not have since that attitude is so ingrained in white people. We (I'm white) are surrounded by it from birth, particularly if we didn't grow up in a multi-racial milieu. It's that they think white people are the default American (and too often the default human as well). If you told them: "Shut your eyes and tell me what you see when I say the word 'American,'" too many would say white people. (And only white people.) It's unconscious because it's conditioning -- most of them aren't even aware of it, I think. But it's not right, and it needs to change.
I said this on another thread and somebody got pissed at me. But I stand by my words.
and for any industry - like health care or law enforcement that's (technically) regulated within an inch of their life - no one's going to stick their neck out to put a more efficient technology in place if they know that technology is prone to security lapses.
it's the 'no one ever got fired for buying IBM' thing.
Oh the gaslighting. "Republicans want everyone to vote" is just the lyingest lie that ever lied.

"... and then we count those votes."
True:"It doesn't matter who's voting and how. It matters who's counting and how" (Stalin)
It would help if the Republicans didn't always get an assist from the media.
Asked in a cave in the hills above a flooded out city.
Anti-faxxers unite!
(actually it should be facs)
The excuse is always HIPPA blah blah. I still don't understand what a 2-ton mammal has to do with it.
"Why are hospitals still using '90s tech to do things?"
Because they already blew their wads buying up Inquisition-era beds.
Of course they have to use mail. Clay tablets gum up the fax machine.

I like that meme:
'....sorry Karen, I can't get faxes where I live.'
'Where do you live?'
'.....I live in 2022 Karen. I live in 2022.'
