As I recall, the story ended at the crucifixion, which I kind of found odd, since Easter and resurrection is supposed to be the whole point. I’m fact I remember my conservative parents being unhappy with Jesus Christ Superstar because it did did not have Easter morning in it. Spending $8600 is kinda fun. The new central air system is being installed as we speak. The old one is in the front yard and looks well, old. It lasted over 20 years, so we got a lot of use out of the old guy.
I need to replace mine this month, all performance metrics in yellow or red. It will not survive a heat wave, and as I would like to live myself, the big bucks will be spent.
I survived another easter weekend by watching this morning on TCM "Ben Hur -- A Tale of the Christ." Action/adventure for the boys and heartthrob Ramon Navarro for the girls; a great date flick.
We watched Jesus Christ Superstar yesterday, the live version NBC did a few years back, with John Legend as Christ, Sara Bareilles as Mary Magdalene, and Alice Cooper as Herod.
Given that I cannot sing, a surprising number of people have told me I'd make a good Herod. I'd just want my name to come up in lights.
We can't have people reading to children. Then they might think reading is fun and education 8s a good thing and they may not leave school after 8th grade to work on farms and in factories. I am so tired of the GQP and the fact they care nothing about children or the larger society. I AM SO TIRED OF THE STUPIDITY.
