Yeah, but if both of you are going to use the term “liberal” in a way that exposes your involvement with government schooling and akin to the way it is employed by both Russ Limbo and #VPOTUSBLQUEEN, I can’t take you seriously.

Does this dumbasz not understand that "Orthodox Easter" does not come till May 5 this year?

But but but but Cinco de Mayo! Tell those Mexicans they have to move their holiday!

P.S. ALL calendars are approximations, because the Earth doesn't orbit the Sun in exactly 365 days, and the Moon doesn't orbit the Earth in exactly 28 days. People knew that the Julian 365 and 1/4 day year wasn't exactly right and holidays (in particular, Easter) were drifting into the wrong season (intending to mark the begin of spring but occurring in mid spring!) for hundreds of years before Pope Gregory despotically enacted a change to the leap year formula and retroactively made 11 days disappear. Of course, non-Catholics ignored this for decades or centuries, and the Orthodox churches still don't acknowledge the change in their religious calendars, though they and just about everyone else does so in their civil calendars.

Sheesh!

All that having been said, I always ask my students around this time: "What date does Cinco de Mayo fall on this year?"

I can't speak for anybody else, but I became a feminist for one principal reason: I was raised by a mother who disliked her own gender and made no secret of it.

this fucker can take her fat shaming and shove it.....

1 in 10 women have some form of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome ( PCOS). 70 % of those women will have insulin resistance and will put on weight despite starving themselves. Our daughter put on 100lbs in 2 years and we had no idea why until recently.

She should watch Where the Boys Are if she wants a little taste of that world she claims to want.

Also, can we get Jesse Waters' mom back? She had more sense than any of them.

I wish I could like this bunch of times. It's clear this woman has some serious issues and I don't know why she felt it necessary to project those onto all of us who don't even know her. Girl needs to spend some time with an actual medical professional rather than some scammy shaman.

And this part a thousand times:

"Your situation has nothing to do with ideology, but with who you are as a person, and who you are as a person is a follower who doesn’t know what the hell to believe. That’s why you didn’t question things, not because you were a liberal. You may have found a new narrative, but you’re still not questioning anything."

I’m wondering about those 5 men in one month she dated, were they liberal?

I'm late to the party but I'm so tired of these people:

- Self-righteously denouncing the self-righteous.

- Playing the victim over people playing the victim.

- Making a political identity of whining about identity politics.

Also isn't " a caring and compassionate veneer with a heart full of judgment and anger" just a perfect description of anti-gay/all "you'll burn in hell" "christian love"?

I suspect Jennifer still isn't happy with her new path and needs to make her "former lineral" life sound worse to herself to handle the cognitive dissonance.

And I suspect there's an audience of conservative from the start women who need to believe her "being a liberal was worse" narrative for much the same reason.

I’m uncomfortable with people who seek out “life coaches,” and some other kinds of self-help. Everyone is trying to find their own way, and it’s ok to feel sure or unsure about yourself. But assigning your peace of mind or judgment or self-esteem to the teachings of a “life coach” makes me question how stable that person is. There are ALOT of scam artists out there, some of whom become cult leaders, religious gurus or unlicensed “counselors” who sometimes hurt people by giving advice they have no business giving.

It’s the “person who is a follower who doesn’t know what the hell to believe” that I feel sorry for, but am also wary of. It’s not that I have all the answers, but I’m comfortable in my own understanding of the world, and I refuse to accept that there are “enlightened” people, touched by some magical insight or rare intellect that can finally bring me peace or clarity or the answers. Too often those people are simply confidence men, scammers who simply have either the gravitas to pretend to be special, or just a lack of shame. They know lots of people feel lost and are very eager to follow someone they trust more than themselves. It’s sad, because it so often ends badly. There is a reason those people want you to follow, and it’s not always financial. They may simply enjoy the power and the manipulation and all the trappings of unbridled power. Few people are honest and decent enough to handle that power safely. Many seek it for their own financial or sexual gratification. Beware people who tell you they have the answers.

Just be a kind person who grants others the freedom to be themselves and believe whatever they want. We are all here for a little while and then it’s over. Use your time wisely. But also don’t take my advice, because can you really trust it?
