the further up the chain, the more it's about the money . . . and congress is pretty far up the chain.

yeah, sure . . . count all six hairs on a baby's head.

that brings up another pet peeve . . . you can buy a digital back for the Hasselblad but not for a 35mm . . . i'd even be willing to do the surgery.

[of course, my favorite camera is an old (very) Minolta SRT-101 . . . i don't think they even make the battery for it anymore . . . after using it for years it got to the point where setting time, f-stop and focus and compensating for known characteristics of the light meter were as intuitive as using my eyeballs . . . the fingers just did it.]

Of course, part of the issue is that Iranians are not Arabs. This of course is a distinction that is totally lost to the more ignorant than the most ignorant pig alive twits of the GOP. They're all Muslins, and we don't give a rat's ass about thread counts.

Those Presbyterians with their satanic potlucks. It's enough to make an Episcopalian want to behead someone.

Like his old man, my son was born with a full head of hair.

My first camera was a SRT-200! Saved up paper route money for it in middle school. My sister has it now. I bought a SRT-201 at an antique store, in mint condition, a couple of years ago for...$20. That's twenty dollars.

I would think that since Hasselblads had removable backs, unlike most 35 mm SLRs, making a digital back for them is easier. We could probably do it...

I have a Nikon D80 now, and the only thing I don't like about it is the f/stops and focus and bayonet are backwards from my minoltas which I had for 30 years. You're right- I could shoot a roll of 36 on my SRT 200 in my sleep and get perfect exposures. They became a part of us, didn't they? Good times.

Rubio is just another useful idiot - useful to his corporate puppet masters who certainly understand the distinction.

The reactionary dumbfuckery on display with Rubio underscores the fact that these tea party twits simply will not deal with facts other than the ones they and their pals in the reactionary media make up from whole cloth. They have absolutely nothing to offer except their strange theories and fanciful facts. I'm not saying I like or dislike what this administration is doing there, but at least they try to deal with facts. The dumbfuckery is all that the right has and has always had. They have a very odd relationship with reality and convince a whole box of dim bulbs that they are the truth, the light and the way.

Yes, I routinely got 2 more exposures out of a given roll. Fun times with Ilford 72 exposure rolls on a polyester base. My old man worked for the parent company, I could get that and CIBAChromes on the cheap

But the version of reality in Rubio's head is so much colorful and exciting, and in that version, he is important, a player, star material, even. And he never, ever gets cottonmouth (which he seems to have in this video, too--what is he, on codeine all the time?).
