'Devastating mass shooting," or tragic, or heart-breaking, or horrific, or whatever, all seem redundant. Why can't they just be called "mass shooting?"

Any adjective in front of "mass shooting" is subjective. It has no place in real journalism.

I have family whom I suppose could be described that way. I wrote all of them off years ago.
