This is a pleasant thought. But lots of people are fully ambulatory with the Covid. They’re just supposed to stay the fuck home. Of course McConnell would let them vote on *this* remotely. If they’re sick enough to be on a ventilator they’re too sick to leave the hospital. Even not on a ventilator a lot of them would be too sick because they’d be all groggy. Maybe there will be some kind of weird showdown about whether or not someone heavily sedated is sufficiently compos mentis to vote in the US Senate. That would at least be interesting.
And did it with no warning, causing chaos as people rushed to get home. And then further chaos as they were crowded together at customs, breathing each other's exhalations. And then further stupidity by just doing a one-time temperature-check, not requiring quarantine, and not doing proper contact tracing.
I dropped our ballots off at the Board of Elections today. It was a shitshow. Traffic backed up as the turn lane into the BOE backed out onto the regular lane. Lots and lots of people voting, but it appeared to be going reasonably fast despite the limited number of people they could let in at a time. Still, very encouraging.
And, I learned that Jo Jorgenson's running mate is a fellow named Spike.
Sad to say there's no way McConnell will let it come to that. He will definitely force a vote before then, if there's any chance that that could be the deciding vote.
Ooh, ooh, I want to get in on the "I'm old enough to remember" stuff too. I'm old enough to remember when I considered both Nixon and Reagan to be irredeemable assholes. Well, actually I felt that way about most Republicans. Still feel that way. I liked John Heinz. He was the kind of guy you could call in the middle of the night while drunk and he'd come right to the phone and talk to you.John Heinz was certainly the last Republican I voted for. R.I.P.

Oh, that is great news. She deserves the humiliation. I've seen her mistreat journalists and she's an absolute c*nt. Horrible, awful person.
The difference between Nixon's and Trump's impeachment isn't Nixon and Trump, it's the Nixon-era GOP and the Trump-era GOP.

And yet Melanie's roller skate song was widely banned.. ?????
Was she an incumbent the first time round though?
She's deeply unimpressive, for sure
Fair.
You got a brand new key, do you?
Arizonans: Mark Kelly deserves to win in a landslide.

That would be nice, and well deserved, but I can see Mitch wheeling in senators on ventilators if that's what it takes to cram this nominee through.
Perhaps this time Ms. McSally will get the message that Arizonans keep sending her. Go away.

I so love the word 'bint'
