Whenever there's an article on the old Huckster I'm reminded of the day I had to work with him. He's every bit the arrogant ignorant zealot in person as he appears to be. An asshole.

I appreciated the source link to 2nd - 3rd trimester terminations. So tired of their lies and creating moral outrage over medical tragedies. Acting like a woman with a normal pregnancy would wake up one morning in the 7th month and randomly choose to terminate. Please. Stop.

Maybe we should just start screaming, "Liar!" in their faces when they go to the late-term abortion thing.

Or "panda!" or "chainsaw!" or "picture frame!" for all the good it would do.

Mike Huckleberry, what we need to talk about is that if you are so strongly against abortion, don't have one That's it. Stop trying to control other people.

This noxious god-botherer believes his fake solicitude for the "souls" and the health, both mental and physical, of those women who have made their own decisions about their own lives and threaded the ever-building obstacle course that he and his allies are constructing to thwart their wills, these crocodile tears of his somehow balance out the bitter invective, the deadly violence, the terrorism of the zygote worshippers. Just like any other abusive husband/boyfriend- I only hurt you because I love you, don't drive me to violence again.

1. There is no such thing as a post-birth abortion, and late-term procedures amount to emergency surgery to preserve a woman's life.

2. Fuck him and his phoney concern for strangers' "souls", he doesn't actually know any more about these elusive, insubstantial beasts than anyone else, he just enjoys assuming a position as "God's servant" (just can't get good jelp anymore, can you?) to bully other people into letting him run their lives.

3. There is no reliable, peer-reviewed data proving any of the claims about long term damage to the bodies, let alone the minds, of persons who have had an abortion. It is another of their unsubstantiated claims, no more worthy of serious attention than the claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proofs, and the unsubstantiated claims of random ideologues don't even count as ordinary proofs. Almost all the rest of us are NOT your parishioners and are not obliged to accept your word on ANYTHING.

May his food always be lukewarm and too salty.

Yeah, don't punish the "birth mother', punish all those evil grannies instead! I'm sure that will make their cause even more popular.

Hell's coffee tables are on fire too. There's that.

may his every bedroom floor be almost paved with Legos and cat puke, there to greet him when he gets up in the middle of the night to pee.

My abortions saved my life and allowed my beloved grown up children to EXIST. A Catholic priest gave me the money to pay for my first abortion in 1970. I am so sick of this issue. Every one of those anti-abortion people would totally encourage their daughter/sister/mother to have an abortion under some circumstances. I am sure every one of those Republican congresswomen have had an abortion or have supported a friend or sister who had one. You know Trump has paid for dozens of abortions. They are a bunch of freaking hypocrites and the voters know it. PS: can we PLEASE get Medicare and insurance to stop paying for Viagra????? Please!!!!!!!!

Provided there was no abuse or exploitation involved, that sounds like a pretty cool priest.

"HUCKABEE: We want to reach out and show her compassion and assistance, maybe to keep the baby, maybe to find an adoptive parent, but never to condemn her."

Bitch, I've stood outside clinics helping women to get safely inside, and I beg to fucking differ.

I talked to my Trumpy Neighbor today. I pointed out that Virginia lost big on election night over abortion, and I was surprised that Trumpy Neighbor was actually AWARE that most people want abortion to be legal.

She said, "They don't know it's murder." Okay. I guess it's better than saying, "They don't CARE it's murder."

The problem here seems to be that Trumpy Neighbor believes that her ideas trump everyone else's and that she gets to decide unilaterally how things should be done.

I ventured that majority rule is a thing. She thinks her morality should supersede that.

I don't know how you don't throat-punch this jerk. I would be in jail.

I actually like her. Thankfully, people are more than just one thing. I see her as being worth more than her stupid opinions.

“HUCKABEE: And I believe that the other factor that we need to talk about, how women are exploited through an abortion. They're not told the long-term physical consequences to their body or even the long-term consequences to their soul and their psyche.” - “… their soul…” That’s it, that’s the tell right there. The other stuff is obvious obfuscating bullshit. How dare people live their lives according to their own needs and wants without proscribing to a suffocating set of rules and ordinances that serves no one but a fading patriarchy too stubborn to die gracefully. It’s darkly amusing though to hear the soulless ghouls that make up the American Christian Right go on about the soul, something they have not even a passing familiarity with. It’s the most cynical swing for the fences maneuver imaginable. How could you not care about their SOUL? Never mind that that is not a quantifiable thing, bringing it into the mix automatically assumes a moral judgement they have no business making. Mike Huckabee is a vile, self-righteous, disingenuous piece of shit who has made a living shoving needles into strawmen. His daughter does it backwards, in heels. Yet another uniquely American dynasty of charlatans.

When crhistofascists say that life begins at conception, what they mean is that they soul enters the body at conception. They just have to couch it in secular terms because of that pesky First Amendment.

He needs to worry about his own soul.

If he can find it. I think that would require a sacrifice to Moloch.

Yeah, but who talked the grannies into talking the young women into having abortions? Because they’re women too and can’t have any agency of their own.
