Good morning, Wonkers! Here's SOME of the things we might be talking about today! Eric Trump will stop soliciting donations for his charity because he thinks it might be seen as buying influence, calling it a "quagmire" that could "backfire." That's a little ironic considering that many of
I read somewhere (sorry no link) that Trump now has by far the most globalist, free market, pro business, anti govt, anti working people Cabinet in history. Not protectionist, not isolationist and not nativist as his campaign. I just wonder if the Trump voters are going to get what they voted for.
I new study shows that liberals and conservatives have different definitions of "draining the swamp". Liberals interpret that as getting all the money and corruption out of Washington, while conservatives view it as getting rid of the elitist, liberal influences in politics.
The lege noticed that Charlotte had only repealed (conditionally) the clauses that HB2 repealed, and cried foul (Tuesday). On Wednesday morning, in order to keep the lege from using that as an excuse, the Charlotte City Council met in special session and (unconditionally) repealed their whole anti-discrimination bill, the one that the right-wing christianist assholes pretend was the reason that the teabagged the state's face with HB2.
So now HB2 stands, and Charlotte's ordinance is gone, and per HB2, they can't pass their own again. It sucks, but the good part? Charlotte has clearly acted in good faith at every step. And the lege, just as clearly, has acted very badly and in bad faith. They still own HB2, and all the harm that it continues to do to our state. Let them eat a full electoral meal of it, after they've scarred the economy with more craters from exploded deals.
All we know for sure is it ain't xhamster. That's blocked until HB2 is repealed.

Esp the economics. White people now have to compete with people in countries they can't pronounce or find on a map. Sad. Tragic. Weak.
That changed on Wednesday morning.
