I want fully funded maternity and paternity leave, minimum 8 weeks. It isn't just breast feeding, or maternity leave would be at least a year. It's bonding. It's sleepless nights and days and keeping those parents off the commuter roads and away from their jobs, where a fog-brained mistake could be deadly or very costly. It's basic humanity. We need babies, we need workers, it is high time we treated breeders as a necessity and made allowances for them, or everyone decides it's too expensive, hurts their careers, and is too inconvenient, and our species dies out.
