Larry Summer's deserves a hurtin' on his balls.

"...little cartoony lightning bolts washing up on beaches from Texas to Florida."

And just like that, you know it was Dok who wrote the piece.

A tunnel to finally straighten out the route from 30th Street Station northward? About damn time! Having to wind through West and North Philly easily adds 15 minutes to the trip. NYC in under an hour? Yes please!

There’s math involved. Equations and everything.

"And somewhere, economist Larry Summers, who said last year we’d need a year of 10 percent unemployment to control inflation, realized his balls hurt, the end."

Deservedly so.

Reaganomics: Great for billionaire parasites

Bidenomics: Great for the 99%

No wonder the parasite cheerleaders of the WSJ don't like Bidenomics.

Their big PAC doners are grabbing them by the proverbial balls and screaming in their ear. Otherwise, I can't see how they give a shit.

My mother said to me yesterday "I wish we had a better train system in this country."

My reply was "but you kept voting for tax cuts on the wealthy, so we gave up nice things like trains and healthcare so Charles Koch could die with more money."

It's almost like you can't have everything!

Damnit. I have a late Pride fest to go to in order to support the organizers. Otherwise I'd happily fire up the podcast machine to what looks like a really beautiful park.

How can we trust a man, who unverified sources are saying, pressured Ukraine to give him $10 million????

"Sen. Chuck Grassley on Thursday released a confidential FBI informant's unverified claim that, years ago, the Biden family "pushed" a Ukrainian oligarch to pay them $10 million.

The exceedingly rare step by Grassley, R-Iowa, further promulgates an allegation that Democratic critics warned against accepting at face value and which the White House continues to deny, saying it was investigated under the Trump administration and "debunked.""

DEBUNKED? Sure, Joe, sure, we all KNOW you're much more of a crook than your very cool and very legal and very patriotic predecessor.

Chuck Grassley passed his sell by date decades ago.

He keeps the ethanol subsidies coming, though.

I'm sure he'll eventually be replaced by someone far worse.

Probably by his son. That's why that corn-fed fossil is still stinking up the Senate.

I really thought Mark Sanford, Eric Cantor, and Paul Ryan were the worst that the GQP could puke up...how wrong I was with today's crop...that's why I know Grassley will get replaced by someone even worse.

My wonkette visit times are becoming rarer and shorter. The comment section looks like an ugly text wall with no pics or gifs are anything to break it up. The snarkiest political site on the internet looks like Federalist comment section.

I'm with abbienormal -- while I miss the pics, I kind of like the gif/tweet/yt free comments. When I want everything, I go to Notes, or to the Chat graveyard. Would be nice if Substack where to embrace Latex markup, though. Or some form of markup. Just no Markie Mark.

Ditteaux. I use Firefox for all my non-work related browsing, and it did *not* like the Disqust interface. So often I'd be left wondering what that big empty white space was meant to convey (while other tweets etc embedded just fine for reasons unknown).

I'm actually grateful for the loss of gifs and embedded tweets. They annoyed me.

Miss the pics, though.
