It's globally popular to tool on Oregon. Seriously. The number of people I regularly run across from England, Australia, Singapore, Africa, who all seem to have very specific grievances about Portland or Governor brown is amazing.

Troll farms are likely compensated on a piece-work format.

Seems like a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

And as for Inslee, most of Washington state has always regarded Seattle as an anarchist hellhole, so there's not much there to ding his reputation.

I doubt if Curry or Coos would go for this. Douglas stretches over the coast range to Roseburg which is aligned with GP and Medford so maybe there. They might go down to North CA, that would be familiar territory for them.

In America, it is style over substance, Brown as more of the latter than the former so she isn't popular.

However I think that makes perfect sense. Washington is filled with vile MALE politcians and their VILE male aides, and equally VILE male lobbyists shitting all over K Street and elsewhere.Even as we get more women in congress, it is still a major male bastion and it affects every part of DC whether the residents that have nothing to do with the govermnent like it or not.

The US congress is 27.6% women, while the UK parliament is 33% women. Not a big difference I will admit. But from what I see in the news here, there are clearly shitloads of Republican pols who are misogynists.

As for NYC, I know I have seen plenty of women there that own their own businesses and are artists and musicians and never felt that the city was too masculine, at least the parts I've been in.

Even worse, she was the first openly queer governor in US history, so the red wing in the state has always hated her for that too.

The last that I remember Kristof still claimed that Iraq had WMD. He was one of the cheerleaders for the invasion even though anyone following the progress of the inspectors in even the most casual manner knew there was no causus belli.
