I used to tell that joke all the time when I was a much younger person. We still say "pardon me, Roy" when one of us needs to scoot around the other in the kitchen or something. I cannot recall how one gets to that punchline, but it was always a crowd-pleaser.
What a charming kitten! And I say that as someone who got woken up at 4:15AM by my formerly charming kitten, now a demanding five year old. Thank God Endora will never read these words and now how full of wrath I am at her deciding that cat-dancing on me to get an early-bird special is ethical behavior.
Lovebug is right. There is never any anger or anything with him.
When you're a kid, you see that as so LAME--stupid weirdo kid! But I think most people come around to see weird yet gentle and kind souls. Yes, maybe sometimes annoying, but the world's so harsh.
I think of some kids I went to school with, and it was like they had no skin--they just did everything without that "what's cool" reserve, and they probably suffered for that. But I'd rather have that than the walking human callouses we see all the time.
I absolutely agree with you (per usual, you brilliant minx!) It's the kind ones in this world that make life truly beautiful. I just got back from visiting my brother's family in Virginia, and I especially bonded with my 10 year old nephew. He is just the sweetest little guy! He put chocolate on my pillow, gave me his favorite stuffed animal to sleep with... it truly touched my heart. He was also so lovey and hugged me practically every 10 minutes. As much as I love the fact that he felt comfortable enough with me to be so loving, I'm even happier that he feels comfortable enough to be able to express his feelings so well.
Right? But it’s a really cute cartoon that I think people here will love. I sort of derailed (har) the point by going with the train song, but alas, I could not resist.
I'm so excited to be going to their aquarium, too! That's my next stop when I return. It looks so beautiful from the outside, I can't wait to see what lies in store.
Where did you live out here? There's so much I'm still exploring, but northern Georgia is absolutely gorgeous, imo.
About the coal/oil/gas industries: nothing has or is preventing the coal, oil, and gas companies from investing in renewables. If they haven't it may not be too late to get in and see some profit.
I forget the issue but in 2016 Manchin voted with the Republicans on something. It was big. Moscow Mitch gave him a lot of public props for his vote.
And Mitch still supported Manchin's Republican opponent in the 2016 general election.
Manchin was crushed! "I thought we were friends," he told Mitch. To which Mitch replied, "We might be, but you're a Democrat and I want a Republican in that seat".
Maybe that's the reason why Manchin has been a shell of a man for so long.
Well, not exactly. Seinfeld shouldn't hang around a POS like Maher, but here's what the article said about this:
<<When Maher said “I’m not gonna lose my nervous system about Trump again. If he ends the world, he is gonna end the world,” Seinfeld just laughed! Instead of pushing back, Seinfeld simply laughed and seemingly agreed with Maher. Must be nice!>>
Note the word "seemingly". That's not quite the same as Seinfeld ACTUALLY agreeing with Maher.
Yep. There's a home by me that is a fixer upper. Going by its size and location tho, it last sold for nearly a million. I'll take my 350k condo unit, thanks.
"he fact that the nation’s pipeline inspections are essentially a sham, where the industry gets to watchdog itself with predictable results."
PG%E knew this, they were convicted of crimes that killed 8 people is a gas pipeline explosion. Have they changed their policy? Guess we'll have to wait until their next pipeline explodes to find out.
Another thought experiment I like to do with clean energy vs fossil fuel is to have someone imagine if we hadn’t discovered fossil fuel yet and we had started with renewables and even nuclear.
And then tomorrow someone came out and said,
“Hey, I have a different idea. We can pull these old caches of carbon from decomposed organic matter millions of years old and burn it instead. It will send tons of pollution into the air but it might be slightly cheaper in the short run until it starts running out”
Would anyone ever want that? Of course not. Because it’s the stupidest thing ever.
Yep. I just fast-charged my EV while at the grocery store for the first time. Went from just under 50% to about 76% in about twenty minutes, for under four bucks. So adding an average of fifty miles or so. When a gallon of gas at the stations nearby is almost four bucks a gallon, and my old car was 20-28 per gallon. So far I'm winning!
One day Roy Rogers received a pair of beautifully ornate cowboy boots as a gift from a studio. Per Dale's standing orders he left them outside on the porch of their ranch that night. In the morning he found the boots torn to shreds and scattered about the ranch. Roy quickly grabbed his rifle and rode off toward the hills. Hours later he returned with a mountain lion strapped across his saddle. Upon seeing Roy return, Dale called out "pardon me Roy, is that the cat that chewed your new shoes?"
Un-fucking-believable - 18-year-old, soon to be a high school graduate, Barron Trump has been selected to be one of 41 at-large delegates to the Republican National Convention this July.
Talk about nepo-babies - but I guess it means that he can now be treated as a public figure, and not be "protected" because he's a child.
You leave the Wonkette Station 'bout a quarter to four
Catch up on your Tabs and then you're in Baltimore

Beat me by (checks watch) six hours!
I am on a train in Baltimore right now! Next stop Wilmington. Hope Casey Jones is sober 🙂
What's the speed situation?
High as a motherfucker.
Not you, the train.
Got that.
Trouble ahead
I thought this was going to be a math problem at first.

LOL
... Then, Mr. Rogers' valet points at the tiger and asks (musicallly):
"Pardon me, Roy,
Is that the cat who chewed your new shoes?"
OMG u r old.
The little feets go pitty-pat.
Pardon me boy

All this talk about the policy directives that would possibly be issued by a possibly elected PAB on his possible inauguration day makes me nervous.
"I choo-choo choose you! And there's a picture of a train!"

I always had a soft spot for Ralph.
Same. Not his fault he was a little "slow".
Oh, me too! He's such a weirdo lovebug.
Lovebug is right. There is never any anger or anything with him.

You shovel the coal in, and I'll keep it rollin'.
I am seriously considering a move to Chattanooga in the not so distant future.
It's a great little city.
That was the place birb visited when birb was reporter, living in Georgia.
They have a neat aquarium.
It is an awesome aquarium! I think the same architect designed the one in Baltimore, too.
I'm so excited to be going to their aquarium, too! That's my next stop when I return. It looks so beautiful from the outside, I can't wait to see what lies in store.
Where did you live out here? There's so much I'm still exploring, but northern Georgia is absolutely gorgeous, imo.
It's a fabulous city! I'm looking forward to my next trip up there, myself.
Likewise, I'm sure.
Let me know when you're planning on going, maybe we can road trip together!
What time is it now?
Ha! You're such a scamp.

Bill Maher and Jerry Seinfeld Want Us To Know They're Cool With Another Trump Term

Does Maher somehow think he won't be put in the boxcar?
To MAGAts, he will always be Mr. Liberal.

OK, you went a long way for that pun, but I applaud the effort. 1 upfist for you ;-)
I guess that's it then…

You know what would be hilarious? If he voted for Nikki Haley.
Go against 18 years of grooming?
Possible but not very likely.
Yes, it would be hilarious but I'm not holding my breath.
