She can appeal. Of course, she would lose. Harassment is not hard to prove, while defamation is.

Every noisemaker wants to make noise but they are stoppable. A suit for damages - which there really do not appear to have been here because the professor did not lose her job or other opportunities and fear that there might be violence by someone someday is speculative - is really not the way to achieve that, though.

By being broke. People lose lawsuits all the time. Making them pay is the hard part. All she has to do is claim she doesn't have the money to cover whatever the judgment is. I've been the victim of this. I sued a guy for cheating me, won, and never saw a cent. BTW, he had just bought his wife a thoroughbred pet horse, so he was lying about being broke.

However a large portion of your population is living in lala-land completely divorced from reality. Chirches and rwnj media are allowed to undermine childrens mental development for profit with forreign backing.

south korea has deprogramming centers for escapees from the north that need to be debrainewashed before they can participate in a normal societe. Something like that for all the deluded deplorables is needed.

I agree and also lean toward Aaron Kosminski, as being Jack the Ripper. I have no opinions on the Zodiac Killer but wonder why familial DNA hasn't been attempted (that I'm aware of).

Fatal Vision is fantastic even though the author, Joe McGinness, was successfully sued by MacDonald for violating a confidentiality agreement. Janet Malcolm wrote a really good book about the case titled "The Journalist and the Murderer."

Sorry, hon, Jeffrey MacDonald did, in fact, murder his wife and his small children.

And the fact that his family was butchered while he had barely any injuries. Poor Errol Morris was hoodwinked. The investigation wasn't a model of integrity, but the blood doesn't lie.

Yet another creepy example of our post-fact society. Bravo to Prof. Scofield for fighting back; people are going to make up crap like this as long as they are rewarded with attention, instead of facing consequences.

I can't stand this! She must be evil, period. So, meanwhile, until she's sued she's earning. Because this is a well known mysterious crime, so people are following it, and they can be interested bc of the claim she had an affair-- boy is that lame!! Well I would think she could go in the slammer instead of having to pay money. (Very sorry about your enraging situation.)
