[They have record high euthanasia rates.]

I loved my father.

When I was a little child, he was my hero.

When I found out, he was a normal man with strengths and weaknesses, I still loved him.

I watched him die of cancer.

Now, Dad chose to stick it out until his body failed. But as I watched him become skeletal because he could barely eat... bedridden... and in constant pain even with morphine... I would have gotten the poison and injected him myself if he had asked me to do it.

I don't know why some people cannot understand that. Why we humans think we're being merciful to dogs and cats when we euthanize them to spare them further suffering, but think it's horrible and a crime against God and man when we are presented with the same chance to spare someone we love even more the same thing should they choose it.

OT: Some good news in the news biz ... Washington Post ordered to reinstate columnist Karen Attiah, who was fired for daring to write truth in the Charlie Kirk aftermath.
