"Would take away the CFPBโ€™s authority to write regulations governing payday lenders"

... regulations that STILL don't exist. How many years is it gonna be?

Remember the other year when BernieBros pushed the idea that DWS was a fan of payday loan companies because she supported legislation that would rein them in? The part that allegedly made DWS a monster was that the CFPB couldn't pass any legislation that imposed new payday regulations while waiting for HR 4018 to kick in. The thing is, it's not like the CFPB is racing out there to create new regulations, and I say the faith in the CFPB was entirely misplaced. The CFPB may do some things well, but when it comes to payday loan places, the CFPB has completely dropped the ball.

Meanwhile, DWS's HR 4018 would have limited total interest on payday loans to 10% of the principal and granted 60 day grace periods on paying loans off (ideas that the CFPB has been kicking around but not actually doing anything about). What a bitch, huh?

Our power went out last Friday afternoon for about three hours. When it first went out and didn't come right back on, my first thought was whether or not this was the Russian cyberattack on the electrical grid that would leave significant portions of the U.S. without power for 3-4 months.

Wouldn't the GOP be more like remora, attached to a larger marine animal by its sucker for protection and cleaning dead skin and parasites off the larger animal's hide?

There is no "peace" in Syria. There will be a US-Russian "cease-fire" in *southwestern* Syria only beginning Sunday at noon Damascus time. A lot of people can get killed in three days, and did anybody spot Assad at this meeting? No? Post your drivel elsewhere, Mr ID.

Ah, yes, if I decide to run for office, one of my talking points is that the GOP is aggressively pro-crime, as long as it's white collar crime....

Again, there is no "peace" in Syria. There is a US-Russian cease fire starting Sunday, Assad has not signed on to this deal, so it's quite probable thousands will die in the meantime. http://www.npr.org/sections...
