The problem is that none of these vaccine skeptics, deniers, whathaveyous have never seen what these diseases can do, because, you know, their parents made sure they were vaccinated.

I’m an old. Too old to have been vaxxed against anything other than smallpox and polio. So, I had measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox. I had scarlet fever. The measles left me hearing-impaired. That’s for life. It never gets better and worsens with age.

Measles is highly contagious, with severe side effects and was very nearly eradicated in the US until these loonies came along. Now there’s a resurgence. Hey, thanks a lot.

My mother was a nurse in the 1950s. I had pictures of her taking care of kids in iron lungs. I've personally taken care of one active tetanus case, and thank Jeebus it was only one in 38 years of my nursing career; they call it lockjaw for a reason. These dipshidiots make my blood boil.

Ta, Robyn. I came very close to death at the age of six. What nearly killed me? Measles followed by Reye's Syndrome. I believe MMR was introduced four years later, after I'd had all three plus chicken pox. I didn't remember whether or not I'd had chickenpox; I remembered Younger Sister, who turned 65 yesterday, having it. Well, I had my PCP test me for chicken pox titers, because I wanted Shingrix if I needed it. Any number over 649 is immune; mine was 1,111.

Smallpox exists, I believe, as highly guarded samples, tes? So it doesn't not exists

Don't let these motherfuckers get the opportunity.

''There once was a time, pre-COVID, when there was a bit of a backlash over the Jenny McCarthy “vaccines cause autism!” nonsense.''

Let me remind peoople that Oprah is NOT your friend and never has been - sif addition to promoting Jenny she gave the world Dr. Phil and Promoted Dr. Oz, and had some ne'er-do-well named Drumpf (or something like that ) well befor NBC helped make him famoud with ''The Apprenitice'' and his old NYC running buddy Lorne Michaels gave him free reign on SNL during the 2016 election year.

Oprah also set up a phoney school in Arica whcih she claimed was eduacteing students but did no such thing.

Oprah has wlays been about one thing - OPRAH.

“…if you get tetanus from a wound…apply ozone to the wound.”

This demonstrates such a PROFOUND ignorance of how the body works it simply can’t be accidental. Let’s even assume the stupidity, that ozone can kill tetanus. When you “get” something, it has spread throughout your body. The wound it came from may be on the surface of the skin, but ozone will NOT be magically transported to all the tetanus viruses throughout your body if you puff it on the top layer.

Do they teach that level of aggressive ignorance at nephrology school? Isn’t that the “science” of reading the bumps on peoples’ heads?

Nephrologists specialize in kidneys. There is absolutely no point she'd be involved in tetanus cases, afaik.

Oh yeah…the bump people are phrenologists.

My mother was pinned as a nurse in the 1930's. She spent two years on a hospital ship in the Pacific theater.. She saw shit that would send most people screaming into a corner and curling up into a fetal position. One thing she told me that really terrified her was watching a child die of tetanus. It is an horrendously painful way to die. She watched people die when antibiotics were scarce. She watch young men suffering from malaria, dengue and other tropical diseases nobody from the lower 48 have ever even heard of. She brought home polio vaccines as soon as they were available in the hospital where she worked for me and my sibling. Through the course of the war she also treated and nurtured a lot of wounded Marines who also made sure she could take care of herself in the event she needed to. She would not have hesitated to put one of this assholes on their knees. That a doctor would make these claims, would advocate that vaccines and modern medicine were actually what was killing people should be more than enough grounds to revoke her license to practice along with any MD or DO stupid enough to endorse that pseudo science bullshit.. These assholes are not going away until we forcibly make them go away.

In a way, vaccines have been too successful as whole generations of Americans have forgotten just how terrible diseases like polio and small pox were. That’s what makes them easy prey for grifters like these.

"“Based on the available science, Humphries is convinced that one of the reasons the polio vaccine doesn’t work is because polio isn’t caused by an infectious virus. It’s caused by toxins. Poliovirus is a commensal virus that is completely harmless in the absence of toxic onslaught,” Mercola “explained.”"

So, as you point out, the only place that have toxins are the tribal areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan. I would love to hear her explain that.

She's "treated" people for tetanus huh? No, she treated them for "stepped on rusty nail". If they'd been infected they'd be in the hospital while actual professionals tried to keep you alive until the toxin (an actual toxin!!!) wore off.

"like never before"...Hmmm..Where have I heard this? My sister must be reading her work because this sounds like some of the nutty shit she says. I really love my sister and it's hard to believe that at one time she wanted to be a forensic scientist but gave up due to the organic chemistry part, which is honestly, really really hard!

I forgot to mention that when it comes to polio, you can hear this from the pro disease crowd:

It wasn't really that bad. Most people didn't die. "Iron lungs" are better these days. People only got polio because they didn't know about proper hygiene and nutrition (because we all used to play out in the cesspool all day long, and eat dirt for dinner) Disease is natural, and chemicals are bad and vaccines are full of toxins which are evil- unless they are the most deadly kind they can shoot into their faces to get rid of wrinkles.

I need a nap. I sincerely hate vaxholes.

About that “most people didn’t die” business: I have a friend who is one of the people who didn’t die of polio. She has post-polio syndrome. She’s lucky - she can still pretty much get around on her own, with the help of crutches and a scooter. I don’t know what kind if pain or fatigue she deals with, because she doesn’t talk about it. All modern medicine can offer her are pain meds and advice like “rest when you’re tired.”

The thing that terrifies me is that post-polio symptoms don’t show up until [checks Wikipedia] 15-30 years after you recovered from polio. I wonder what might be waiting for us 15-30 years post COVID-19.

Good point. And of course, the "most people didn't die," is absurd, but vaxholes are absurd by definition. I'm sorry about your friend. There aren't too many people still in this world who suffered from polio. I also had a friend who did, and a "silly" aside about it is, she never wore pants/slacks/trousers, because she felt that would have shown how crooked her legs were, more than a below the knee skirt. She did, of course, suffer pain, but managed most of her life with a cane (or "stick" as she called it).

It is something to wonder about with COVID. Daughter's counselor is still suffering from "long COVID," and we really don't know what the future holds for those who have had one of the strains.

I suggest RFK Jr. volunteer to be infected with smallpox, to show us all how it's normal for viruses to be around, and for people to catch them.

Oh, that's right. He's 70, which means he was inoculated when he was a child.

Mercola laughs at his pro disease fans all the way to the bank.

That woman thinks it's fine when babies choke out their lives with pertussis.

They should all be put in Dara O'Briain's sack. I'll bring the stick.

I'm trying to figure out what happened in 1799, 225 years ago, that made medical people of that year decide doctors were not needed. A theory that seemingly has persisted unseen for 225 years, except for geniuses like Humphries and Trump. Maybe she could research it and get the book banners to demand that event be taught in schools. Along with the entire universe being created in 6 days just 6,000 years ago.
