Josh Brolin tried the whole sunshine thing and it did not go well! https://slate.com/culture/2019/12/josh-brolin-perineum-sunning-severe-burns-danger-will-robinson.html

I’m reading this codswallop about sun worship with a face slathered with a stinging ointment designed to burn off my keratoids. This surfing’ bird can tell it to the Marines. What a pair: “The Dove with the falcon” and a wealthy goose.

wait. We do not have enough science for actually peer reviewed researched options, but we need more science for sunlight because she thinks it could work?

That girl is like an AI version of a concerned, modern woman who reads magazine articles. Not quite convincing though because why is she talking?

RFK Jr was an active heroin addict for 14 years. That can affect your mind on a long term basis. His choice for VP is proof positive that the man is off his nut.

He is a media curiosity. The story about him is not his politics, per se, but rather how his politics are grifting that brings grief to his family.

If the papers just stopped reporting on his "campaign," no one would notice. We're not exactly out here dying of curiosity about RFK's next move.

ehhh, outside of the extra effort on ones part to maintain their recovery and managing PAWS symptoms during the first year or two of sobriety, long term cognitive effects from heroin are pretty mild compared to amphetamines and alcohol. hes been clean for 40 years. please dont blame poor sweet heroin.

Hey, Ms. Shanahan,

Do you know what they call non-alternative medicine?

Medicine.

“I’m not sure that there has been a really thorough mitochondrial respiration study on the effects of two hours of morning sunlight on reproductive health."

I'm not reading through the linked article to find out, but I'm guessing she's one of those proponents of (if you're a lady) going outside, getting naked, lying on your back, putting your feet behind your ears and sunning your bare ladybits? Somehow I can't imagine her being as pedestrian as just saying you should get out in the sun for at least two hours a day, whether it's to walk or play sports or garden or just lie around.

Wait, but...at least in MY female body, all my reproductive organs are INSIDE my body where sunlight cannot reach. IS THIS NOT NORMAL? Should I consult my gynecologist, oh sorry, I mean my "female parts witch doctor"?

Certainly, Shanahan was chosen not in spite of her “questions” about established science, but because of them. Her healthy dose of junk-science curiosity is perfect for RFK Joonyer. That, and she’s wealthy. It’s a bit astounding to think how far RFK Jr. might have gone in politics if his brain worked properly. And it’s a common theme with people like Shanahan. She’s not a doctor, and she’s not a scientist qualified to question medicine or vaccines. But like many of her ilk, she also has a low level of disdain for “establishment” and “science.” If she was willing to admit there are entire industries of thousands of experts all over the world who perform vital research before vaccines or healthcare options are deemed safe or effective, she might sound less dangerous. She’s 38, wealthy and therefore has power. She undoubtedly believes her opinions and feelings carry especially high value, or why else would so many people want her money? Oops, I mean, her input?

Ta, Robyn. At least the sunlight she wants shinin' on all the lady parts is specified as morning sun. In most locales, one does not need sunscreen before 10 a.m. Of course, if you're near the equator, wear LOTS of sunscreen whenever you're outside.
