Seriously guys? Guys? Look, ain't nobody wanna side with the Saudis against 9/11 victims' families. We get it! Which is why we had a very happy shiny bipartisan moment this week when the Senate voted 97-1 to override Barack Obama's veto of a bill allowing 9/11 people to sue Saudi Arabia. Ninety-seven to 1! Why does Harry Reid hate 9/11 victims and love Saudi princes?!?
“This is a decision I do not take lightly,” said Senator Chuck Schumer, Democrat of New York, one of the legislation’s authors. “This bill is near and dear to my heart as a New Yorker, because it would allow the victims of 9/11 to pursue some small measure of justice, finally giving them a legal avenue to pursue foreign sponsors of the terrorist attack that took from them the lives of their loved ones.”
Whenever you need a Democrat to be as shallow and pandery as the GOP Chuck never disappoints.
Um no. Suing the entire government of the Saudis because the terrorists may have been sponsored by some of them does invite people killed by our drones who were not terrorists to sue us in some other country's court system if legally allowed.
I wish Obama would just make a televised statement from the Oval Office touting the health benefits of breathing. By morning, the GOP asshat population would be decimated from attempting to hold their breath all night. A win/win for America and our future...
Obama's ongoing shadow wars are the most tarnished part of his legacy. How valuable is it to "go after the actual terrorists" if a thousand uninvolved Afghanis are killed in the crossfire?
Or is "peace" just not a thing we on the left are supposed to care about when a Democrat is in office?
“It appears that the Obama administration is pulling out all the stops to keep this bill from moving forward before the president’s visit to Riyadh,”
Like forcing the Senate to take a 6-week summer break.

Obama did explain the ramifications, but he didn't explain like they were the six year olds they were, so clearly still his fault! D'uh! (literally)
Your snark detector needs a recalibration.
Wonkette commenter joke: he's saying that calling McConnell and Cornyn et. Al. 6 year olds is a libelous insult to actual 6 year olds.

Wasn't it Herman's Hermits who sang "This Door Swings Both Ways." A lot of very stupid people didn't think about that in the Senate, huh?
I don't know what the hell they were thinking. I am disgusted.. on the bright side 77 in the house did not vote for it.
A family member is an insane trumpie and won't get off the "you have to vote for trumpie to stop hillary" bandwagon.
They are back to the "Hillary is a murderer" thing.
They are morons.
"I voted for a bill that will fuck us. Please work with me to see that this bill will fuck us not so much."

Obama walks on water!
Republicans criticize his wet feet.
Or just do what they do and turn around and blame Republicans. Doesn't seem to have any electoral impact on THEM.
They rarely read bills. They just tack on bits that lobbyists write for them - which they also don't read.
