And they would still say "thank you sir" with tears in their eyes.

I get the "puppet master" part but calling Trump their "agent" is just flattering his ego.

"Errand Boy, Second Class" is his correct position in the FSB organizational chart.

For context, it's important to bear in mind the Tea Party was on an exit trajectory from the Republican leadership from the start. If Drumpf hadn't coopted many of their talking points, they would prob be on the 3rd party rolls, and everybody would be better off.

It should be Schiff, who knows and has already presented this material. I mean, what the fuck? Why would we want to make olive branches and when will we catch on that Republicans are not looking for common ground?

And it's not like Democrats would just be handing carte blanche to a guy who up to a few months ago was a fucking Tea Partier. As historian Kevin Kruse noted on Twitter, during the Clinton impeachment, there were 14 impeachment managers, and if Pelosi picks that many, then surely we can make room for Justin Amash and each of his hot arms, which are definitely not the point of this post, no we never!

megs saying she won't be quiet is hilarious because of the underlying assumption that people are listening to what she's saying, which i believe is a prerequisite for telling someone to shut up.

If you'll read Twitter, infamous deadbeat Teabagger Joe Walsh has also decided that he'd rather not have an Orange King over America. Maybe some libertarians were principled after all.

The main issue with Rick Wilson is not his anti-Trumpery. It's his insistence that the Dems have to become pre-Trump Republicans in order to win.

Been to Ohio lately? The political center is unguarded and ripe to be seized.

Doloras Funkette's avatar

Does targeting "the political center" require Islamophobia, tax cuts, WALL, anti-trans bathroom laws and no abortion? If you think you can build a winning majority out of white straight men alone, you're welcome to try.

Our_Man_In_Redneckistan's avatar

Never said that, but there are a lot of votes up for grabs from the disillusioned.

True. But that's pretty much what Rick Wilson is saying, that to win the Dems have to run on a Mitt Romney platform.
