Thanks for the reporting on the ground there. I'm in NC, and the messaging is not as mixed here. Cherie Beasley, our Senate candidate, is Black, and unfortunately there's still a fair amount of racism here among folks that might vote D for other candidates, like our white male Governor, but can't quite pull the lever for a Black woman. Despite the fact that she's extremely qualified, previously serving as Chief Justice of the NC Supreme Court. It's complicated here. I still love this state, it's my home, family roots dating back to pre-Revolution. But it feels like we've been going backwards for the past few years.
First real President we've had since Eisenhower. GD shame we couldn't run for a third term. Biden should have been the candidate in 2016 and continued Obama's agenda. I'm pretty confident he would have beat Trump handily and saved us from the monstrosity of the MAGA. As qualified as Hillary was she just appeared weak and TRump bullied her in the debates. He wouldn't have been able to do that with "Uncle Joe" Biden would have mopped up the floor with him. have any doubts listen to the 2012 VP debates Biden positively crushed Paul Ryan, who is at least 5 levels above Donald Trump
Hey, whatever you gotta say to obscure the bare naked truth that the desire to cut Social Security was bipartisan. And in many ways still is, even if the rhetoric has shifted.
Obama keeps it real, so making fun of posers is dead easy for him.
So many lessons can be learned from him about breaking the right-wing facade. We tend to circuitously argue the abstracts, no matter how weird they get, but Obama knows that it's actually the real world where liars fall to dust.
The normalcy that the successful two-term president Barack Obama represents seems like a thousand years ago. Yet, he just left office in January of 2017. And of course that political normalcy is itself, in part, a nostalgic reconstruction -- from the beginning of Obama's first term in 2009, racist crackpot senators treated him with utter contempt, eventually even going so far as to deny him a SCOTUS appointment on the most transparently stupid pretense imaginable. "The beginning of the end of the republic" has been going on for decades now. We are very far along indeed. I don't mean this as a knock against Joe Biden, either -- given that he follows Trump in the order of presidents, there's no way 2021-25 is going to be perceived as anything like "normal." We are in uncharted territory here; as they say on the old maps, "Here there be monsters."
I miss the days when a smart, capable, educated person was head of our country (no disrespect to Old Handsome Joe, who is an experienced politician and on the level). Unfortunately, those qualities don’t seem important to at least half the country.
Yes. Most teachers I've known aren't worried about making reams of money -- they would just like a steady position wherein they have time to think deeply and bring the benefit of that thinking to their students. Of course, the position seldom offers anything of the sort, at any level.

The timing seems calculated for effect. Not being a political analyst, I do not know if that works better.
No, because he needs to be qualified to be president, and he no longer is.

LOL
Their tagline: "When Ashley Madison isn't skeevy enough!"
I miss Obama. Politics has been all downhill since he left office.

Enjoy.

Best Prez in my lifetime, probably until I die
Oh, damn it all, why can't he be POTUS again? WHY?! Then I wouldn't wake up at 3 a.m. in a cold sweat.
Barrack is not the President anymore and hence, is all out of fucks to give!

Well, he's white. And it's Wisconsin. And name recognition.
Enjoy what? Your point?
