As I approach 50 on the horizon, my biggest fear is turning into these guys. I accept that I will become more out of touch with things as I age. I will misgender someone because the terminology will progress and I won't realize it. I accept there will be "clueless old guy" moments, but I can't imagine them coming from a place of malice.

Mine just turned 77 and is a liberal delight. When he retired many years ago, friends made a campaign poster featuring him and Hillary, suggesting a second career. He worked the polls for the 2020 election for 16 hours, n95d and gloves, before vaccines because he believes in the process. He is the only person irl I enjoy talking to about politics. Happy Birthday, dad! I know I did a Not All White Guys thing there, which is not my usual take at all, but this one is special.

I used to like Clapton and Meat Loaf and Van Morrison and Morissey, and holy hell did I have bad taste in musicians.

Thom Yorke is still okay, right?

So now these turds have screwed up music that I've loved all my life and I won't be able to listen to now without thinking that it's perpetuated by a f****** death cult. It's a thin line between love and hate but that line is pretty stark when it willfully spreads death.Monsters.

Don't despair, Mrs Mild & I are in our mid 60's, and find we're becoming more liberal, not less.

Not surprising that if one of your biggest hits was Cocaine, you're a little brain addled later in life.
