You are a very fortunate dog, indeed. We completed our kitchen re-model a few months ago, replacing sink, dishwasher, refrigerator, cooktop, and installing double wall ovens, new cabinetry, new floor, and quartz counter tops. Just prior to that, had to have both washer & dryer repaired, then hot water heater and the water pump both died. HOLEEE $$$$$$$

I've never spent that many muniez that close together for anything except real estate, ever. It's disorienting.

“Black man’s neck as an ottoman” - DUDE! Like, I have the urge to laugh at your hilarious turn of phrase but my white guilt is like that ubiquitous Jonah Hill gif where he’s shaking his head. You’ve turned me into the Norman robot in that one episode of Star Trek with the sex robots, at the bit where they use a logic pretzel to fry his brain (I, Mudd).

“It is hilarious but it’s about a heinous hate crime and I’m white and I can’t laugh at that but it’s so hilarious but I’m white-“ Brain smoke.

That is comedy wielded like a cudgel against the oppressors and I fuckin’ *love* it.

Maybe a suspension for a day or so but firing? Fuck them. Detective in less than a year-sounds like they needed sharp folks like her, I guess she's too much of a threat. She's not the only one who got fired for trying not to be an asshole, remember this thread from an ex Ontario cop: https://threadreaderapp.com...

What's with a year probation? They promoted her to detective FFS. My Teamster job, the probation was 90 days.

Much easier to just be a snarky concern troll, journalism requires work and ethical standards and actually having a point to make.

We get it dude, you want to deepthroat the boot, just go find a cop already.

No this is great, more cops should walk off the force. It is a non-violent way to disassemble the police.

The sign was held by her niece. If something a relative of yours said or did is enough to get you fired... that used to be called Sippenhaft in nazi Germany. It is indeed a fascist notion you are endorsing and proves the point of the article: the police in the US is a fascist organization that should be dismantled.
