There are some weird cases with Trumpers--my friend's mom is not just Iranian but immigrated here in the '70s, she's a full Trumper. And a lot of those alt-right folks have Spanish last names (Trump has higher than I'd expect Hispanic support). My conclusion is that a lot of these people like the idea of others who are downhill to them. You don't have to be white to be a white supremacist, so long as you think you might benefit from it.
All of this can be reversed by a sane party taking control. However, that is going to be a nightmare. The minority in control at the moment will make it seem as if Satan is in charge and the media will play along as it is strife that sells news. I pity our next president (Warren 2020!) for all of what they will suffer from US citizens as the pres tries to repair the damage. It will not be easy, it will not be painless and it will take a will of steel (Warren 2020!) to withstand the heat. But, doing good is rarely easy, especially after some much wrong has been done. can we make this law retroactive for people who support this law so we can get rid of Miller, and Trump (Drump) and their ilk who's grandparents came here with nothing? they took charity from many sources.
WImmigration has never been a charity or refugee item. It filled labor and settlement needs. Needs changed. They will change frequently. The system needs flexibility. But immigration has always had an economic purpose. In 1900, uneducated but strong people were needed. Some may now be. But most have to have skills. And the racket of employers in ag and construction paying wages that are lousy and getting undocumented to fill jobs must end, if confiscation of business needed, do it.

This won't pass muster the first time someone gets wise and takes it to court on 4th Amendment grounds.
