You have to admit that Jim Hoft, the Stupidest Man on the Internet, knows how to pick his little helpers: guest blogger Andrea Ryan looked at the aftermath of the gummint shutdown and saw only greedy federal employees with their hands out, and Congress throwing money at them:
Mmhmm, "how dare they." And all I need to know about these sneering small-minded fomenting finger-pointers is shown almost daily as a Newsmax headline at the right:
Weird Trick Adds $1,000 to Your Social Security Check
Yes, "me, not thee" - we get it. Crawl back in your hole now.
When I worked for the Boulder County government, typical pay in I.T. was 20-25% less than private sector. The steady hours, little travel and so forth that enticed people to work for less. For me the public service and absence of profit motive was worth something. In my previous job every day we'd be reminded to stay 100% billable. If somehow we were under 100%, it was "Were you thinking about some project?"
Oh and I talked to one today that was pissed because his job had operating money and he didnt get furloughed and had to work for his monezz but some co workers got 2 weeks off paid it just aint fair by god and the next shutdown he wants off
Hide the orange ones!
Hate to break it to you . . . but the ponies are younger.
Not much less, I'm somewhat sad to say. But we did get a whopping 1.5% COLA last year while the gummint yobs got nada.
I was amused to note that the stenos name is not Molly. Which leads me to speculate:
House Stenographer: "Argle blargle" 1st "Journalistic" Stenographer: "The fuck was that?" 2nd "Journalistic" Stenographer: "Shit. I don't know. Molly?"
And so it was reported.
Nope. USPS is not part of the gummint any more. (That's why it didn't shut down).
Well, yeah. For example, data from Heritage or the AEI.
it's not easy being that stupid
"empirical data from researchers at the American Enterprise Institute and The Heritage Foundation."
a.k.a. "numbers unskewed and re-unskewed until they fit the theory."

It's fine, so long as he doesn't get back pay.
Congresscritters should get the same raises they give to federal workers - and not a dime more.
Uh,oh. I just got a letter from the IRS, and they're auditing my Monopoly money.
