Well, we'd hope that any SCOTUS decision wouldn't be made by right wing hacks... but yes. No law should be passed that violates the Constitution.... ie that exceeds the powers granted to govt in the Constitution. When Congress overreaches... it's the job under a checks & balances system for the courts to reign them in.

And since they can't be "elected" out, it's either ignore them or expand the court.

The simple way to get the court to rule in favor of Biden is to file an amicus brief which shows that people prone to vote Democratic will use the relief to buy food and people prone to vote republcion will use it for political donations to right wing politicians.

This should never have gotten to the Superduper court.

I waltzed out of college in 1970 not a penny of debt to my name and then totally screwed up my life, so there must be a message in that. Let me consult my crystals.

I can't afford to put an EV port in my garage, therefore EV ports should be illegal for everyone.

That's for the opinion. Some law clerk is digging through the clay tablets even as we speak.

Someone should bring that up in the hearing.

>"I was lucky that my dad was able to pay my HUGELY LOWER tuition back in the Dark Ages."

I was lucky, too, and I know it. My high-school drop-out Depression parents bought me a B.A. (1970). Total cost, about $10K.

Roberts uses his votes to keep up appearances of being some kind of "moderate." He's just as hacky as the rest of GOP-appointed ones.
