The mid-terms usually go against the party with the presidency, so we do have that trend to anticipate. But, they don't learn through pain. Pain just pisses them off, and they get meaner and sneakier.

I thought that a form of Pascal's wager might be effective, too. You know, Pascal said, since the Christian god promises the best afterlife for believers and worst for non-believers, you should believe. That way, if you're wrong and the Christian god isn't the one handling the afterlife, you don't end up so bad. Hindus and Buddhists reincarnate, right? You get another shot. Or if there is nothing, meh. But, if you're right, then cha-ching! Pay dirt.

Climate change is very similar. If you bet that climate change is real and work to stop or reverse it, and you're wrong, you haven't lost anything or much. And, if you're right, and you succeed, then you're the hero and have saved the day. But, if you bet that climate change isn't real, and you're right, then you haven't lost anything. But, if you're wrong, then we just flushed the whole thing down the shitter for what? It's an argument that might actually appeal.

The Pussy-Grabber voters will be coming round looking for absolution by crying that Clinton was as bad or worse than the Pussy-Grabber. If she had just been a better candidate, we woulda voted for her. It is her fault. Why'd she make us vote for the Pussy-Grabber, hunh? But, it don't work that way. There is no forgiveness for such a colossal mistake as that. You voted for the mo'fo' enjoy reaping the sweat deserts!

I agree with you completely, and I'm as working class as you get. But it is up to the white working class to join the modern world, not for us libs to go back in time half a century to accommodate them.

The ugly cast of characters in the Trump charade gets more appalling every day. Trump voters get what they deserve, but unfortunately take the reasonable among us with them. Dark days, indeed.

This article is great at pointing out how bad the Trump appointees are, and that Trump himself is nothing more than con man, tell me something I don't know. What is fails to do is tell us how our country got HERE. These guys broke no laws to rob the American people and destroy our country, Trump admitted to using bankruptcy laws - CONGRESS is the one that gave us these laws. Dems and Republican parties are the evil, neither represents the peoples best interest, they all must go!!!!!!

And properly so! Dragonslayer was a fairly minor Disney flick (tho a personal fave), but it was the first attempt by Hollywood FX guys, with a healthy budget behind them, to look at a mythological creature (dragon) from a biological point of view. How would it move on the ground? How would it fly? How would it generate and use fire?

The results are so impressive that Verminthrax (possibly the coolest dragon name in all cinema) was used as the model for Smaug, in Peter Jackson's horrible Hobbit, and for the dragons in Game of Thrones.
