Ted Cruz's campaign accidentally went and hired a softcore porn performer for a recent ad touting his super-conservative values, even though the actress, Amy Lindsay, describes herself as a conservative Christian and a Republican. After it became aware of Lindsay's body of work, the campaign pulled the ad, which is a damned shame since Lindsay's presence is the only remotely interesting thing about it.
Um, HEL-LO, Wonkette! A "soft-core porn performer" appears in Donald Trump everytime he stars on them. Or did you not see his award-nominated* performance in this well-regarded cinematic opus?: http://www.imdb.com/title/t...
Incidentally, since we're on the subject of Republican hypocrisy intersecting with 3rd-rate Star Trek spinoffs, y'all should check out Jeri Ryan's bio sometimes.
Well, i might judge her a little for supporting a party that creates whole ideologies based on criticizing a woman's life choices (That is the only function and purpose of government for these people, after all.) CONservatives are not exactly shy about this. Did Miss "Sex Spa II" think she'd be one of those handy "exceptions" that Republicans always think apply them ("don't worry, you're 'special.' We'll just be over here shaming those other porn starlets.")
"Animal Lust, The Sex Spa II: Body Work, Insatiable Obsession, and Kinky Sex Club, which one IMDB reviewer warns is “Not Kinky, and Not a Club,” so caveat emptor on that one."Thank goodness Wonkette is here to look out for us and deliver the information we need!
It's like the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Barbossa wants to release the sea goddess Calypso, and everybody says he's nuts because she'll destroy everyone. He insists she'll spare them because they set her free. He was wrong.
I would have one caveat to all that- I don't know Amy's specific story, but the idea that a woman needs to 'turn her life around' just because she did some Skinemax movies is specious. I'm not getting on you for framing it that way, but it's obvious that's how any of them would. The idea that an adult film actress, especially a softcore cable TV one, needs to be ashamed of that career choice is wrong and demeaning. In fact, that's the one thing that keeps me from more wholeheartedly feeling sorry for her- I'd bet that her "conversion" to Christianity and conservatism is more one of convenience than true redemption of any sort. I can picture friends and family finding out and it being much easier to chalk it up to "I was young and stupid, and I was lost spiritually. But I'm all better now. See?", than to simply stand up for herself and say "So what? I was a young and hot looking actress who managed to make bank actually making movies, while the other starving actors around me waited tables or worked as a barista. I made the money while it was there and now I've moved on"
Yeah Sandler needs to start showing off his breasts and dry-humping everyone.

*By which, I, of course, mean a Razzie.

A plan HE obviously stole from Trump (who has the YOOGEST, klassiest ego around!)

Er...SOMEONE has never had cable in the 80s and 90s, I see.
By the way there IS a gay equivalent, but I'll let David Deccoteau explain it to you: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm... http://seanmunger.com/2013/...
But did they save the erotic bowling alley or not? Don't leave such us hanging, man.
Well they promised their dimwitted supporters they'd call the next day so.....
Well, I was born in 1989. We had cable, but I don't remember watching much of it, other than Nickelodeon, PBS, and Disney...
though she looked sorta familiar, in a holographic way

I hope in the Saturday nerdout we find out what character she played in Voyager.
