These are fanatics who use legalesque language (eg, "aesthetic joy") to force their views on everyone else. They were credentialed under Trump or they would have no power. Now they have it for life.

Mind you, most theatres go by this, especailly chains which are the majority of theatres these days. But there are numerous theatres that do not abide by the MPAA's bullshit. A lot of independent and college theatres do not.
So unless a group similar to the way out of touch MPAA is started that ''validates'' all shows, drag or otherwise, there should be no reason at all to not prevent anyone frome putting on any types of shows.
